Hello everyone, my Holocron as told me to Master this profession, which I'm over joyed about!

I need a little bit of advice on what weapons I should be looking for in order to master this. Also can you give me a brief over view of the average stats of a 'Good' Swordsman weapon, such as Power Hammer and Curved 2Hd'd Sword...

Get your self a fast 2 handed sword as soon as your skills allow. I got lucky, I purchased one from the bazaar for 700 or so credits. It has a delay of 2. On paper at least it out damages my powerhammer due to it's speed.

Dont know what to tell you... I just started too and I am pretty **edit** happy with my 2.6 delay 83-324 two-handed curved sword.

It turns the mobs of scyks I use for EXP into mobs of corpses real fast

I'm somewhat new to the profession (having started approx 1.5 weeks ago, because the dang holo told me to) and I would like to know if the weapons I am currently using any good. They were free hand me downs from other players, so I dont know if they are any good.

2-Handed Curved Sword (sliced)

Spd 2.6, Dmg 75-315, Wnd 38.2%, Rng Mod +7/+7/+7, HAM 29/61/34

2-Handed Axe (sliced)

Spd 4.0, Dmg 151-220, Wnd 28.4%, Rng Mod +10/+10/+10, HAM 55/24/17

So, should I be looking for something better? Such as a Powerhammer or the elusive Scythe blade?

The 2hCurved isn't amazing, but it'll be good for levelling until you have enough speed and accuracy to use a Hammer (Techniques4 and Finesse4).

The axe dosn't look too great though...

I've been using curved swords from 2 handed two up to Swordsman 4-4-4-3, then I switched over to powerhammer.

is PH the only good weapon a swordsman can use now? or is there some other master lvl stuff around thats about as good for a sword?

well my scythe blade that i had made turned out nice but its SAC cost is high its got a 130 SAC max damage 865 which is lower then my 1010 max damage hammer SAC 104 but the DPS for the scythe balde is 10 points higher then my hammer so i use the scythe almost all the time . depends on what you want more to use a sword or a hammer i would say at first i thought my scythe balde was great then thought it was crap lol ( because of the sac compared to my hammer ) then i jsut took a good long look at it over all and decided it is a good weapon after all ( the higher dps on the scythe balde won me out )
