How do swordsman fare vs jedi?

1 on 1? against a full templated jedi? Jedi > mundane

sword will lose eventually.you can't out-damage their healing ability.

i would suggest that sword is one of the stronger profs, against a jedi though. certainly no weaker than any other prof.

now action cost has been fixxed, i can take 1 on 1, MSword/MFencer/4000 Doc...

320+ melee def with food, then stick on CoB, use binding attack to slow their regen rate, blind them, armor break then critical + leg/body hit, i keep them busier than they keep me....

i have had a few stalemates, 2 yesterday with overt jedi, i would have lost eventually (cant keep mind up that long)

pick up at least doc 4000 or go m doc tk 0100 you need improved cob you need good heals, well the best a player can do, and you need defensive power which is why Im TKM, but swords is by far the best jedi killer imho. I can beat most jedi on the server I just tank forever untill their force runs out. I admit a very good jedi can destroy you and you ALWAYS have improved cob on to win. You cant slip up but if you dont make any major mistakes you can win. Jedi also usually dont take nonjedi fights seriously another edge in your favor.

I prefer tk over fencer just because inate armor and 500 defense modifier with improved cob is an enormous help.

although fairly useless in pve, i think Master Swords, TKA 0-1-0-0, Fencer 0-4-4-4, doc 4-0-0-0 is the ultimate jedi killing template.

Improved cob +500 defense, allows you to use other foods besides melee defense ones.

improved binding strike to slow their action regen

improved cripple attack to get them tokeep themclose

improved body hitfor another pure dmg special alongside critical and head hit

improved blind is ok, not necesarry to use though

improved lunge for the kd and dmg if they are trying to run

anyways, those abilities on top of swordsman abilities like critical, head hit, and armor break make for a great offense. and even on top of that the doc healing.

yeah action cost fix helped huge.

and thats what im saying, if it wasnt for the healing wed be fine vs jedi 1 on 1. but they can heal much better than we can.

the fencer skills are a must in pvp in my book, but thats just me.

I would master Fencer and just go 0044 in swords for those nice specials like improved armor break and critical hit. Master fencer because the fencer weapons do more damage than the Swordsman weapons.

Maybe I need a better weaponsmith but the quested fencer weapons used with swordsman skills seems to work very nicely.

hmm?

i have yet to see a fencer weapon that does more damage than a powerhammer.

(notice i said more damage, not more DPS).

unless there is a new ROTW fencer weapon i'm unaware of...

It depends on the jedi temp really. I can win 1v1 against most besides master defender, though it takes quite a while.
