Thread: Any Swordsmen take on the Gorax?

I've been sent packing by this thing about 6 times now in an attempt to collect my badge.


Gorax is level 83 and resists myhammer and pike very well. BTW, my template is MSwords, MPike, MBrawler and some TK. My Improved COB is macroed. I am under the influence of pixie and brandy. I wear 6000 all around armor and have 309 accuracy, 135 speed, 282 melee defense and 222 ranged defense.


My problem is simple. I run out of action. Applying Armor Break, Intimidate, Stun and clearing states in between makes me useless. I usually end up damaging the Gorax down to 3/4, that's it.


Any advice?

well, if you want to solo it(not sure why you dont just have a friend help)but anyway, either use some action powerups, they work great, or look more into food....since you ahve fought them, i guess you dont need any help in how to...

no healing = death with anything that is meant for more than one person.


I'm MSword/TKM/Doc 4/x/x/x - - I usually can tank three 80's at a time untouched.

I wouldn't waste time and action trying to stick intim, stun etc.
From my experience, armor break, blind recovery and a KD move is all you need as support specials.
Along with a PU that reduces action costs (as was mentioned above), a tkm/hsm/fencer can take down the 33k health of a gorax without getting the stupid too tired message.
You'll still have to heal 2-3 times using 1k stims.

I've tried to solo it... but always had the problem of it retreating on me at about 1/4 health. The damn thing runs away so fast, and its health regens at a phenominal rate.Eventually Ihad to getsome help from a BH friend who kept the roots, snares,and kd's on it which allowed me to pummel it into submission.

dont bother soloing the gorax. I hit it with me ( master sword,brawler,fencer, and some pike and tk) a Pikeman buddy with medic, a doc who could rez and shoot a little and a mid to low level jedi.



WE got creamed!!! The first time. We did finally all got out our driods and pets and sent them in first we then ran in right behind them. Lost all the driods and pets but we killed it. So basically only ranged or a high level jedi can take downa gorax solo. As usual us melee are worthless!!

get 4-0-0-4 doc, give yourself an action regen buff, use action powerups and try to get a low action cost weapon.

Chances are with any template trying to solo a Gorax you're either going to run out of mind, action, or health before you can deal enough damage to take it down.


I'm TKM/M.Pike/M.Brawler/Swords 0020/Medic 0040 and I get it down to a little below half health before my mind gets the best of me. Bring along a single friend and its a piece of cake.
