Thread: BE Clothing for Melee class

This is my first post to the Swordsman forums, so let me start by saying how much fun I have had since I switched from a ranged weapon character to a brawler character (2-hand). My second char is almost a master weaponsmith and slowly moving up the heavy swordsman tree.

Anyway, on to the reason for the post.

I'm not sure about other servers, but on Valcyn there is some good BE clothing coming out. Currently I have clothing that adds +11 to both intimidate and warcry, and another piece that adds +4 melee defense and +13 to stun defense.

The great thing about the clothes is they can be stacked, so if you are wearing a shirt and a pair of pants that have +4 melee defense, then you actually end up with +8. For the masters and higher level brawlers this may not seem like alot, but to a novice this makes a world of difference.

Just from what I have seen, the warcry and intimidation make a noticeable difference. It used to take 3-4 tries to intimidate something like a Tusken Captain, but now it is working on the first or second try. Warcry is also working better as now instead of just getting the target I am aimed at delayed maybe 50% of the time, I get all of the targets around me about 75% of the time.

With the new changes to the melee classes coming from the test server, these clothes can make our new improvements even better.

Anyway, just an FYI. Would also like to hear back if anyone else has tried these BE clothes to see what thier results are. If you're on Valcyn and want to know where the clothes were bought from, just send me a tell.

I need some of this stuff. I play Ayeohx on the Corbantis server. Drop me an email if you can hook me up.

And so far I'm having a tough time finding this stuff anywhere. I guess there's not many BEs on Corbantis?

On my server the warcry/intimidate mods are +17, so I wear an undershirt with those mods on it, then wear composite on top of it. I think it's great. Intimidate normally takes 3-4 tries, now it's usually 2 tries, and sometimes on first try. As for warcry, besides the success rate, I haven't noticed anything difference, especially that aoe effect you mentioned. I heard the mods cap at +25 though, so even if you had 2 pieces of clothing with +17 each, 9 of them will be wasted.

Hey guys,

I actually bought the clothes from Fulcrum power on Valcyn. If you take the shuttle to Coronet, leave the starport and make a left to exit the city through the main gate, you will find them about 900 meters straight out. (At work and dont have the cords).

Thanks for the info on the capping. I was going to order a full suit of melee defense/Intimidate defense to see what it can do. I may still order it to see if the melee defense mods can be stacked.

Oh, and also, about the area of affect on warcry. I had no idea it could hit more than one enemy. I found out that it could because I was in the Tusken fort, in the caves, and delayed a captain that a group in the upper fort was fighting (I think I was standing under him). On rare occasions I have delayed 3-5 enemies at once if I am surrounded, and it does give you a message for each enemy delayed.
