Thread: How Do You Take Down Dark Jedi's?

Or any other Force Sensitive creatures. I've seen BH's clame they can solo 'em, same for Commandos and even a rifleman in my PA did the kite/bleed combo.

So off I go, armed with my sword and doc buffs, trying to take down a Dark Force User, and promptly get owned.

So - any advice? Or am I going to have to get a good size group together and do it (probably would be easier).

Thanks

well i send in the beetle hit them with intimidate 2 double dot them then switch over and blind and stun them (tera kazi and pike) once i got that debuff on they will usually die before i do... soloed 2 at once that way... the beetle doesnt dmg them just gives me time to get int2 to stick.

Do they deal kinetic damage or energy damage? I think armor + buff + pet would help.

The best solution is wait until that bh's at-st is tanking the jedi and the bh has used his bleeds/fire dot. Now start hitting it with your power hammer and try to do as much damage as possible. More often than not you should be the one with looting rights because of the ap 2 of your hammer and the fact most of his damage came from bleeding which doesn't give him credit for anything.

sorry to say it's pretty impossible to solo them as a heavy swordsman. Even with MCH and a rancor or whatever your beast of burden.. it's really not possible (to my knowledge). They can kill a Rancor in about 20 seconds (3 hits or so)

DJMasters use lightsabres. Often the graphic is missing so your not sure but if your close you can here that familiar buzz.

I've seen people get hit for over 7k by them. Don't forget that even though you can see (rangers can see more info) they have 90% resists they also probably have 400+ offense and defense skills mods compared to our 100 or so.

I tried vengefully one day to kill one using the most powerful pets in the game and using stacked mind bleeds. Even if you get in a mind hit ortwo and try to run he/she still has a 15 meter range and ever time I thought I might get away ZAAPP like a bug.

Groups of 6 or so + or ranged bleeds and kiting are the only way I know of to kill DJM.

It is completely possible to take down almost any force sensitive NPC in the game, Today alone (in my quest for a holo) I have taken down 20 novice force mystics 10 Crypt Walkers and a bout 5-10 Untrained Dark Adepts. I am4,4,0,3 Swordsman and a 4,4,2,4 CH and added with being a 3,2,3,4 Medic it is quite easy. I will post the steps below, this assuming u can pull a lvl50+ creature.

1. Send your pet in for the attack (make sure it gets the first hit)

2. First attack on FS NPC should be a nice MindBleed ( I use a Powerhammer for this and get about 1500-2200 Bleeds with mind hit 1)

3.Start doing Head-Hit3.. spam spam spam

4. When u get downto about half health give yourself a shot with a good High powered stimpackB

5. By this time the FS NPC should be Just about dead, a few more HH3 and he should be done for.

If the FS NPC attacks you simply run awayand give the attack command for your pet again, In most cases the NPC will leave yo alone and focus on your pet. Remember touse Peace, another helpfulpiece would be to get yourself somePetstimpacks from your local master BE to help in the healing process of your pet. Luckily for me I have 3 gurreks 2Rancors and 2 Graul Maulers, this gets me through about 15-20 NPC's before I have to do some serious Healing.

I hope this Helps

Use intimidate and advanced ubese (it is up to 70% kinetic on my server). It also helps to bea doctor heh.

it is very possible to take em down. I spend a lot of time doing crypt walkers and night sisters. I'm a ch also. I send in my Graul Mauler make sure he gets agro, I then I attack with a mind bleed next, then mind shot, the pet barley touches him/her but keeps the aggro meaning I have free attacks. Our mind attack in PvE is deadly with a Power Hammer. I know most dont like the power hammer but Ive put up 8k mind shots in PvE and remember a good power hammer has a speed natural of 5.4 to 5.1 with our speed attacks you can get that way down. I make average 5k per Nightsister with 1200 on ch. Only drops I get our vibro lances though so far

My standard tactic (0304):

send the maukers on the Jedi, get within 5m, Stack the bleeds with the hammer, switch to 2-H curved sword and constantly spam 2h-headHit3

Ususaly he gets my graul down to 10% of its health. by staying 5 or more meters away you don't risk getting aggro.

I was refering to the title "Dark Jedi" and specifically Dark Jedi Masters. Force Mystics, Nightsisters, Dark Troopers and that bunch are not Dark Jedi Masters. (Although a Nightsister Elder is not soloable -shes 275)

If any Swordsman, with or without pet, can solo a Dark Jedi Master I would gladly create a character on your server and come watch the fun.

Or you can save me the trip and post how you do it. With 90% resists and24k HAM thats many, many, many hits you would have to land without being touched by his Light Sabre. Even a double mind bleed would only take out an eighth of his mind by which time your pet (s) is dead and you start thinking... hm.. "why are we here?"

USE INTIMIDATE. It works wonders.
