I'm currently a 0.4.0.2 Swordsman. I'm not going up the Defence or Offence tree due to a seriosu shortage of skill points.

While I was progressing the Finess tree I finally reached the 'cap' for Two Handed Sword experience.

As soon as I reached this cap I no longer received Two Handed Sword exp. This was OK since I'm not going to train anymore skills that use this. However, I also noticed that I no longer receive a message saying I was awarded Combat exp!!

I never thought about it at the time but I forgot to check to see if I actually DID get combat exp and just didn't get the message.

While not a huge issue (since you can just untrain a skill and then train it again) it is irritating. I think this would also effect all combat professions that require combat expience.

Has anyone else had this happen and do we have this listed as an issue?

I cant say its happened to me. Althought I do have a possible solution for you. If your still training in a ranged weapon. You can always attack with the ranged weapon and use the combat xp from that for you Finesse. Thats how I boosted my swords combat xp.

Thanks mate. I don't have any Ranged weapon skills. To get around this you can either train up one of your swords skills and then just untrain again or Untrain an existing skill and then retrain.

I just don't want to have to retrain. We should be able to just get Combat exp without having to get Two Handed exp also.

hmm. never heard of a cap on Combat Experience. I reached 2H Master a month ago and am still getting exp.

Laglag, the cap I mentioned was on Two Handed Sword exp. For me it was 900000 exp. At the time I had skill points left over so I trined up the defence tree to get Defence III

I dont think the issue is with a combat xp cap, rather a standard xp cap.

If you dont get regular xp, there is nothing to get the 10% combat xp from. I think this is his issue. I would say use the combat xp from another attack skill until you get finesse to the level you want it.
