Thread: Cl 80 and skill points

ok so this is going to be a very noob question.


I see mto had assumed wronging whe ni started this game.. i thought that when i had used all my skill points i be CL 80 ( iam used to playing daoc not swg ia mnew ot this game).

wel lthis is what i had gone master swordsman, TKA 0100, pike 0130 and doc 4004. that pretyt much burn my points up and iam only 2 boxs from finishing up the doc part of that.. and only cl 68.

Learned tonight to make CL 80 you have to master 2 elite pro's.(or that is what iam told).

i have looked thru some of the templates herei nthe forums and not everyoen has 2 master pro's i nthere set up.

the question is to be cl 80 do i master 2 pros and drop one to get what i want will i remain cl 80? or is the template i stated impossible to get and be CL 80.. at this time iam so disapointed that it hasnt worked out the way i thought it did. thoguht i was close to being done and now i have to rethink it all and i want to be sure of the facts before i exp any more.

Yeah, you gotta master two professions atleast, or have the equivilent. Like forme, my template is Master Swordsman/ Teras Kasi Master/ 4xxx Doctor. What I did was I went TKM first, then I went and did 4xxx Doc. When I was aroun 4144 or so for Swordsman I hit level 80. Your template has 4xx4 in Doc and I bet thats what keeping you at CL 68, you hardly level any in Doctor.

Your template has 4xx4 in Doc and I bet thats what keeping you at CL 68, you hardly level any in Doctor.

thanks actual thats what iam at or close to atm MS tka 0100 doc 3004 mb pike 0040 with like 4 points left to spend to get the 4004 doc. ill get that and work form there. in the sticks some oen says they had fence 4040 or some thing liek that along with the the rest instead of pike so i may try that out as well its not liek grinding it out is to hard lol. so i think ill have to say good bye to the pikes to hit cl 80. i liek to explore solo and like to be able to hold my own when i run into stuff. theres some cool 1h swords outthere i wont mind using lol. i got a sweet one from the quest for a cure.


thanks for the help. now i wish the char builders would just show your cl when you did your build it be nice instead of just points spent.

Don't know which character builder you're using, but the one at http://www.bloodfin.org/modules/mydownloads/ does show your CL.

thanks was using some i had found on the web iam now using the one you said and its sweet i love it!


at the same time it disapointed me becouse it comfirmed i cant keep pikeman and hit lvl 80 if i want to keep doc 4004 and tka 0100.


probly due to the points consumed in the brawler line to get pikeman. where as i may try this one which works and will do cl 80


ms tka 0300 fence 0404 doc 4004


i love the look of pikes and the aoe sweep and intemdate. but i insist on hitting cl 80. why oh why couldnt they had made swordsman rec 2h and pike instead of 2h and1h sword lol. then i be very happy lol.

Thanks next question how do i figure out what the equivilent is od 2 elete pro boxs?


sorry but this system has me confused as al lget out so your telling me i dont have to have 2 elite masters just the equiv of it soo if you could or some one plz tell me how ot figure out the equiv.

to help you out, combat level is only effected in PvE, cl in pvp does not effect anything at all, dmg dealing or dmg dealt to you, however for pve simply goruping with a level 80 will give you the lvl 80 bonus. only down side is you wont have 3000 health which in my opinon isant that bad with food.


my build is Mswords, 4004doc, 0100 tk, 0040 pikemen and master brawler, i am cl 73 which gives 2820 hp, but i have +350 armor, if this helps at all

I have this temp now and it's good. I'd also hoped to get some pike for area kd and such but couldnt get all the skills i wanted so didn't

CL will make a difference in pvp, although it won't effect the amount of dmg you give or receive your ham is lower at a lower cl. Also you do not need to have 2 masteries to be level 80, as a master swords doc 4xx4 fencer x4x4 tk x3xx I am level 80. It's based upon the amount of experience you spend on your skill boxes.

Yes, you cannot dabble in pikeman w/ master swords and get cl80. You can only get cl80 by mastering BOTH pike and sword...or...don't get any pike, but stay in TKA and FENCER. If you have enough 4th tier boxes in these professions, you can get CL80 without a double mastery.

You dont have to master two elite profesions to hit 80. I have a friend who's Bh/Carb 0-4-4-0/CM 4-0-0-4 and is level 80
