Thread: Master Swords + Master TKM= NS hunting?

Hola,
My alt is about to hit Master Swordsman, using a (1000 max damage hammer), and my bud being a TKM could we effectivly have a chance aganist Elders, or lower class ones?
Knowing to be buffed/armored/food uped, and knowing that Elders are 100% kinetic..
Just need to know...I used my main (TKM ) with my bud, and we did decent..But with a master swords (un speed capped) shall we do good?

Non-Speed capped yes you can do it,it just takesquite a bit longer. ifyou want to be a swordsman for a long time i would buysome speed. 1k dmg powerhammer...omg those elders will drop (but a speed capped with a 650dmg hammer could prob out dmg you), but id save the 1k hammer for pvp personally, they drop fast enough with a good 600-700dmg hammer.
but if your not speed capped i wouldnt bother with elders, they will take to long. go for the smaller ones and some protectors...i loot most of my best stuff from protects.

Tell your TKM to drop TKM and get Swordsman, both of you invest in hte +12 Force Melee speed, and master brawler, you'll be capped, and then go out.

lol people keep saying to pick up FS Speed like its an easy thing to do. if your not glowing or its not in rotation it takes a while to get...could be like 1-2 months before you can get it (and then all that grinding for FS exp), and i know some people that have no desire to do anything related to jedi. +12 and +5 is only +17, thats not speed capped...its close but not there if you use a 6.1 hammer, which his 1k hammer most likely is.

What is your TKM going to do vs elders? Answer: not much until the swordsman drops the elder's HAM so that the her resists drop. The TKM will pretty much only be able to distract the elder when the swordsman gets in trouble and intimidate the elder for the swordsman to focus on damage. That can make a difference over time.
But really, the swordsman will be doing most of the hard work.

Yeah the master TK won't do any damage to her.
Although I have a master TK/Swordsman/Brawler Medic 0040 and I'm able to solo elders easy enough, just takes awhile.

All my hammers are 5.3 - 5.6, around 650 max. I never buy anything super expensive, because quite frankly, my DoTs are what wins PvP, and PvE...you kill a NS elder 2 mins faster than me because you have a 2mil hammer? good for you....and next week, that thing breaks, and I'm still 2mil ahead, getting hte same NS loot

even if your not spd capped, stick to using a nice geo hammer or good dmg sliced non acklay hammer i say. as for hunting with a tkm, its not that bad, untill you start fighting those spell weavers, protectors n elders and all the other med-hvy armor mob's.
i personally am a master sword/doc now and theres not too many things in this game i cant solo and even small groups of nightsisters arent a issue. tho i am spd capped and using a 961max hammer for those trouble times. if neither of you are a doc, the tkm would do good to tank for the both of you, unless your a stacker also. i know we've talked in game about all i pretty much do now is hunt nightsisters and even with my low def vs states they dont kd/posture down alot.

do you really have a 1000max dam PH?
if so...do this for us;
1. go and find a NS elder
2. start stop watch (or game log ofc)
3. attack it
4. stop stop watch
5. let us know the time
my ph is 650max, and i can solo a NS elder in a bit over 12mins. You shouldnt have a problem at all. I dont see how TKM helps you. First Aid 2 from medic will...NS bleeds are bad.
where i find TKM really handy is against GDKs. You can meditate that blackbar off waiting for it to respawn.
Do you pvp? I'd not use such a nice hammer on NS elders..it'll just wear out too quickly. Get a 700+ one.
