I've read a bunch of threads on template options. But still have 1 question.

Do the defense stacked Swordsman templates still need Doc buffs to solo?

If so I think I'll go Master Sword/Master Doc. because I don't have the money to keep paying for doc buffs

well...

not really man sorry. our ham costs are too high. you could make it with 2 brandies ok but even that is a little risky. then youd have to waste your accuracy or pikatta for some health food. or youd have to waste your moun gold on some nuetron pixie.

a few times when ive logged in overt in an imperial city ill take 2 brandies, a nuetron pixie, a klikwik clusjo (spelling lol, action food), pikatta and citros snow cake.

while its still posible to be effective you have to know what your doing and you gotta be skilled. other wise your at too big a disadvantage to do anything really.

I don't PvP but I doubt it would be very easy to PvP against someone with buffs.

For PvE I can solo lots of stuff besides the high-end things. If I'm only going to be on for an hour or so I don't get buffed and will just run around Dant to some of the static easier force sensitive NPCs and kill them. They're around 11-15k HAM and light armor so Intimidate2 and auto-attacking (no specials) I can kill them pretty easy. I might have to heal once per every 5 or so.

Sorry I should've clarified that a little.

I don't pvp much in this game. There are way too many other games where PvP isn't so borked up. I played this game at launch for a month seen how incomplete it was and left for a few months. I came back and made a master BH for PvP. I was so disappointed with the sorry state of PvP in this game I cancelled again.

Anyway, I came back for the atmosphere mostly. I enjoyed playing in the Star Wars universe and I figure as long as I focus on PvE I won't get so fed up with SOE.

So with PVE as a focus, how successful would a stacked Swordsman do against mobs likeKrayt's, NS, or any of the other high level mobs, orfor solo mission runs on the harder planets -- Without doctor buffs.

And for that matter how effective is a Master Swrod/Master Doc in that same situation? Do the buffs out weigh the defenses or is it pretty evenly balanced?

Sorry for all the questions but after all the updates I'm pretty much a noob again LOL

I feel your pain..I was a Master BH last year, switched jobs IRLand had to quit. PvP was really pissing me off.

So I'm back and "new"too after all the patches etc., and like yourself, probably going to start Master Swordsman/Master Doc toon tonight (hopefully in another hour, hehe). I think if I just do PvE and have fun with groups and helping out people (not that I'm not going to be ultranewb myself for a few days) I'll fair a lot better game-enjoyment wisethan doing PvP.

Besides all that, I just watched "Kill Bill" a few days ago...I want to beBeatrix Kiddo!

All the best,

Ana

For strictly PVE all those fancy stacked defenses don't mean a heck of a whole lot. You're better off going swordsman/doc. I could outline a few reasons, but there have been quite a few decent template threads as of late. Just scroll back a page or two and do some reading =)

One other question. What Doc lines are needed to Buff. If I did 4 - 4 - 0 -0 .... or something to that effect would I still be able to buff myself ( buying the buff packs) This would allow me to pick up a couple more trees for defense.

hello guys,

Rather to start a new post, I just have to ask here. Right now, I have the meditate line from TKA, and it is great; However, I just want to know, if I have medic 2030, how is it compair to the meditate line?

With medic 2030 you'll be able to heal all wounds except your mind/focus/willpower wounds. You can also cure bleeds with those medic skills but you can't cure poison or disease. With the full meditate line you can cure all wounds and bleeds/poison/disease along with powerboost. Without medic skills you can't use stims to heal yourself though.

Thank you Damon, I guess that i'll stick w/ meditate line then, since that option look pretty good for PvE purpose

Its 0240 to be able to buff. You will need a med use of 90 to use buff packs. Check your server trade forum and you should be able to find a vendor that sells 90 use buff packs. The best thing you can do is master swordsman/4440 of doc and have 33 skill points left. You will be able to buff yourself, rez people, put out fire, cure poison and disease. But if you are wanting to hunt NS and krayts solo you will need buffs, because most of the time you will be busy healing yourself if you do not die in 3 or 4 hits. But master swordsman/master doc is a great combo.
