Ok, I found this macro doing a search:

My CoB macro is a little more…complex.

----- Start Macro COBLoop -----
/ui action clearCombatQueue;
/centerOfBeing;
/pause 30;
/macro COBLoop;
----- End Macro COBLoop -----

----- Start Macro COBOn -----
/alias ToggleCoB /macro COBOff;
/macro COBLoop
----- End Macro COBOn -----

----- Start Macro COBOff -----
/alias ToggleCoB /macro COBOn;
/dump
----- End Macro COBOff -----

----- Start Macro COB -----
/ToggleCoB
----- End Macro COB -----

After assigning all these macros, type "/alias ToggleCoB /macro COBOn" and then drag the COB macro to your toolbar. The first time you press it it will turn your CoB loop on, the second time you press it it'll turn the CoB loop off. I've got the same sort of toggle set up for my armor—makes life so much easier.

man am I confused.

Do I write 4 macros, titled COB, COBOff, COBOn, and COBLoop?

and what does he mean at the end with the highlighted text; type it where? in one of the macros?

sorry, but i'm ignorant about macros.

I tried this, was it on the fencer forums? Anyways, to get it too work yes you have to write 4 macros, then place one of them on your toolbar, which I forgot which one you had to put up I actually think it was COBOn you had to keep on toolbar. The alias thing was a pain in the ass, and I could only get it to work sometimes. Anyways, you have to type the /alias thing in your chatbar to make it work iirc.

If you can get this to work flawlessly let me know because I liked the idea but I couldn't get it too work half the time, it's the alias thing that I didnt get, not sure if you have to type it everytime you zone, login, or whatever.

quick and dirty solution that works for me.

Look at control S and find out how long your center of being duration is.

lets say it is 30 seconds.

Then control A, new macro.

Title macro whatever you want, I use center

the body of macro is simply:

/centerofbeing;

/pause 32;

/macro center;

I add 2 seconds to the duration to compensate for lag etc.

When I want to turn it off, simply type /dump.

This works and is easy to do. If you find that the macro is restarting while you are still

using CenterofBeing, then add a second to 2 to the /pause command.

why would you spend an hour setting up that when you can look at you stats, look under center of being, see what it says (say it says 36), then make a macro called cob and type /centerofbeing, /pause 36, /macro cob....maybe im wrong, but doesnt this sound a little easier? are there advantages to doing it the hard way?

Just a little word of advice on the pauses:
Taking the exact value from your stat-display is risky because of lag. You have to add at least one second, but in a fight where COB matters, I have found that even adding 2 extra-seconds doesn't always do the trick (just imagine being on your back...), so the best way for me to go seems to be a pause of 5 (some ppl even set it to 1, but thats probably a question of how much the fight matters and clearly a bit too low for me).
Surely you will see some more combat spam, but you can be sure that your COB is up and running.

I think it's easier to just have the one macro and type /dump when you're finished.

The point of the macro he posted is that the way it is supposed to work you only need one macro on your quickbar to turn it on and off. I had it work a few times but it really is just a hassle dealing with the alias thing. I just use the standard macro as you listed nowadays, much easier.
