I'm trying to pick my melee profession, and I am wondering what experiences people have had with the Death watch bunker and black sun mobs. Is it easy or hard to defeat the mobs?

SBD's bad........eveything else good
you want to deal with the dwb as a swordsman? get some pikeman skills to back you up.

Probably master pikeman. The electricity damageand the ridiculously high damage pikes you can loot from NS and use makes it good for the place.

Commandos, pikemen, and jedi are the best for the DWB. Others do pretty bad.

switch to your kinetic weapon. done that plenty of times and you'll do just fine.
p.s.
don't be the primary tank. lol

meleers only purpose in the DWB is to tank. You bring jedi to do damage.
and yes, you can be the main tank... I was tanking 5 SBDs, 4 Deathwatch NPCs, and a couple of battle droids at one point during my last run.

This is incredibly misguided. It drives me nuts to see people say the only way to do the DWB is with a jedi swarm. Is it the most efficient? Probably. It's by no means the only way, though. After significant number crunching and testing, I've found that the most effective professions overall in the DWB are as follows:
1) Jedi (Obvious)
2) Riflemen (Look at the acid resists on the droids next time you get down there. Also take a look at the energy resists on NPCs)
3) Variable Swordsmen/Pikemen
4) Everything else
The rationale for the placement of Swordsmen and Pikemen is strictly related to whether or not the majority of your group's damage is coming from Riflemen or Jedi. If from Jedi, the obvious choice is Pikeman due to the ability to target Action, which a Jedi would more than likely be doing. Otherwise, and specifically if you're using Rifleman as your main DPS, Swordsmen is the way to go. AP2 Kinetic via the Scythe is certainly not the most powerful damage dealer -- a couple hundred DPS -- but that will at least be damage targetted at the mind always, and against anything but SBDs you'll be doing considerable damage. A group of mixed professions targetted entirely at getting electric or acid damage without regarding AP or whether or not you can target a pool is going to be incredibly inefficient as compared to a team of 6 riflemen, 2 swordsmen, and a healer. I've run the DWB in under an hour with a group of 5 riflemen, a swordsman (with good armor and a tanking template), and a Doc/CM. We had no problems at all.
So, Swordsmen, don't be discouraged by people saying your only purpose is to tank. You're not the main damage dealer by any means, but you can still dish out enough damage to pull your wait and, assuming you've got a decent template, will be able to tank like no other. If you've got 6 Jedi Knights, this all goes out the window. You don't need strategy there except to make sure you've got solid tanks.

one can assume, from his "Master Armorsmith" Signature he's not doing alot of 'stacking'.
and i know your NOT saying you were taking the "all &primary" damage w/all of that attacking you. lmao
