Thread: 2h cleaver, Vibro Axe, 2h Axe...the lost weaspons (?)
...just out of curiosity:
This board is being dominated with posts about the Power Hammer and 2h curved sword....obviously because they seem to be the "best" weapons for us now....
...but what about the other weapons ?
I've seen a couple of posts about people using the cleaver: are you simply doing that for the looks ?
What about the Vibro Axe ? I guess it could use a different AP rating for example ?
What are the stats you guys have on those weapons ?
...as i said: i'm simply curious to see if any of you are also using the other weapons (maybe even still the Heavy Axe?)...what your thoughts are about them...and what changes they could use in your opinion...

Vibro Axes are pretty **edit**ty, kinda like a cleaver with less AP and about 1-1.5 slower. It wouldn't look so bad if 2h curved sword didn't come before it.
Btw, have you guys seen the Long Virbo Axe that polearm people get? Something like 100-390 4.5, **edit** those power hammers..**edit** them.
well i never attually liked the curved sword used it once and ws amazed at how fast i started to die in battles. i survived longer in more intense battles with my old two-handed axe. was slow and had not the greatest damage but i still took everything out with it and never had to worry about damaging my self more then the oponent. And i don't like my power hammer it's way to slow not reliable very raely see the 400 dage that is supposivly there. but i still useit cuz it has potential for one hit kills in pvp not that offten
But my weapon of choose is the two-handed cleaver. i like that weapon better then any 2h curved sword i've seen it has lower ham costs and an high power and closer ranged then the othrer weapons. i mean the curved swords are 60-240 unsliced while the cleaver hadd 90-240 unsliced i believe. yes the speed is at a diffrence but not that much mine has a 3.5 speed rating but with the - mods of accuracy i wish they lowered the ham costs a little bit more in the action side. but hey i love this sword alot more then i ever did a 2hded curved sword. Not for the looks but for it's power and lesser ham costs and also the more reliability in it's damage range
and also with the stat's i gave on the damage that was just a one sword that i had that had abut that damage and the cleaver damage was the stats on it when i first got it before sliced it

my other sig is a Corovette. 
At the moment I only use my power hammer and 2h curved sword, though I have a fairly good cleaver (100-210dmg, 3.5sp, 50/50/30 (approx), . The cleaver simply isn't as good as the others in my opinion - maybe if the 2h curved swordwas reduced to AR1, the cleaver would be far more useful.
I for one liked the vibro axe, but I stopped using it when I picked up my first 2h curved sword. I've seen some good ones made, they do decent damage, but they're slow with high ham costs - it doesn't compare in any way with the power hammer.
I used the heavy axe starting out, and there can be some good ones out there, but I think it will remain a weapon used before you're capable of using the bigger and better stuff.
From what I understand on my server (Starsider) the cleavers cannot yet be made, or maybe can't be made very well, so it's all curved swords and power hammers over here.
I rotate between the two depending on what I'm fighting and what my goal is. Big creatures where I need to bleed it's the power hammer but just about everything else I use the sword for. Being a Master Surgeon as well I have to have the sword's speed to be able to heal myself and others reliably, the hammer is too slow for normal use from me.

oh...just as a little addition: i love my 2h curved and want it to stay like it is...
...it's only the looks of the cleaver that has always been tempting me
...i DEFINETLY hope we will get new swords though..
