I didn't see any venting, unless you have a secret forum identity hiding your shameful existance as a nonswordsmen.

What are we supposed to look for in that thread?

I think the frustration stems from the fact that they've all but ignored the Correspondants work, but go nuts over a single post by a non-correspondant.

Sorry for not explaining...lol

Naaaahhh...i don't mind if they pick up stuff from welll elaborated posts. I'm even a BE myself...eventhough i plan on dropping it. It's always good if a profession is being worked on and getting fixes......but that's also the point:

Everything what we got ever since the program started were more or less 5 short sentences about our issues.....our last mail was sent 3 weeks ago i think and i had to send in quite a few messages to all kinda sources just to get a general answer saying that they're working on it.

Now if you have a look at BE's: Their first set of answers was an extensive explanation straight from the designer, where he shares his vision, what is being worked on and what is going to be fixed and now that.

I wish we had such a pro-active designer as well.....i mean: maybe we do....but then he/she is a very quiet person.

Sorry if i sound like a whiner here....hope you understand though as well.

It's just my opinion of course, but if we were more broke, we'd probably be getting more attention. Personally, I'm kind of glad that we are ignored in a sense, because I think we totally kick &%#. I love being a swordsman and I think it's fairly good as it is. Sure, there are annoying things like the stop/start thing, and I'm always ready for improvements, believe me! Nevertheless, I've been a master for a while now and I still love it totally. I've never seen anyone come close to doing what I can do, granted I'm biased of course =)

Anyway, as Raph himself said, they do triage. They cover the gaping wounds first, the cuts and bruises later. Let's face it, we are cuts and bruises. Now, I know there are issues we have, and they are important, but we can get by without major fixing, unlike say...Commandos or Chefs. It's the devs being pragmatic and addressing the "worst" issues first. Like I said before, I like being under the radar. I don't want them, or the masses at large, to realize how great a class the heavy swordsman is!

Anyhow, don't think that I'm discouting your opinion, I'm just trying to look at things from the dev's perspectives. Trust me, I'd love to see our issues addressed in detail as much as anyone else!

Well, seeing as how I personally considerbio-engineer to be one of the two most consistently HOSED professions in the game (commando being the other one, and commando is getting a ton of fixes very soon), they NEED some detailed answers, because there are huge parts of their profession that just don't work.

Ever tried to play an elite crafting class without a factory? They don't get a choice... nothing they can craft can come out of a factory correctly. Now THAT'S hosed.

I agree with you 2.....eventhough i think there seem to be a couple of other profession out there, being more bugged than BE's, Binary....if we leave the tissue tree and certain balancing points vs. CH aside for a moment...but thats certainly something you can argue about.

I also agree, eventhough i shouldn't, that as it is we are probably better off right now than many other classes.

I simply think that they might have started the program too early and hastily as they only seem to start now creating an infrastructure for it.

I personally am still thinking pretty positive regarding the whole program and the improvements it will bring in future and i am also able and willing to show the necessary patience for it.

But as it is right now i think there is a lack of courtesy from their side:

They announce a correspondent program and after the first set of issues the lines go dead.

People are working on things here...not only me but also others here on the board who are constantly testing. We are certainly happy doing it but would also be glad about a little sign of courtesy and not only a set of answers consisting of more or less 5 short sentences.

And in addition to that:

I've lost my harddisk 3 weeks ago and wasn't sure about the Email adress to use for the issues anymore so i sent a couple of mails to different adresses and also got 2 replies (which are posted on this board btw) but did they confirm the adress to me ?`No

Ialso asked them who is in charge of the program now and how they want it to be continued (weekly ? monthly? ), because we have seen different ststements about it. Did i get an answer ? No

The point is: they have seen my mails.....i didn't ask for much ....and i get answers which give me the feeling that they haven't even read my mail properly and which looks more like a template.

And then i see a post like that..... and it DOES certainly frustrate somewhere.

Anyway....the moment is gone....and im looking positively and patiently forward again.
