I'm a weaponsmith, and just made my first vibro axes the other day.

Is there any possible reason this weapon would be desirable over others?

The 2HCS is good because of DPS, the power hammer is good because of blast damage and lower ham, the Cleaver is sorta good because of high damage per attack and lower action ham, and even the two-handed axe has super-low HAM costs.

But I cannot determine any reason, no matter how silly, that the vibro axe would be good to use?

yeah, looks is about the only thing I can think of.

However, making a stabbing motion while attacking with it seemed pretty dumb.

One thing i dislike about SWG combat, is that there isnt any "UMPF!" to it. If you ever played DAoC then i'm sure you know what im talking about. The toons in DAoC looks like they are actually swinging the weapon like they mean it. Unlike here its *poke poke* owieee.
