Thread: Question for the Swordsmen
Turns out it was a fluke to see such wildly varying stats, I knew it wasn't SUPPOSED to work like that but I thought I was on to a trick
The schematic I ended up coming up with was pretty decent I think, here's full stats to give you all an idea what to expect from the new power hammers
132-458, spd 5.5, wound 31.5%, range -28/-28/-28, HAM 116/37/25
of course expect variance with materials available on different servers
Reposting this from my server board as it got little attention there and I am curious how people feel about this. Hopefully Swordsmen from my own server will feel the same as people here ![]()
Ihad a little time to play with the new cores for power hammers today on my lunch break and I am really liking the results so far (and plan to whip up a good hammer schematic tonight after work). My question to you is this ... would you be willing to trade off some speed for a harder hitting hammer? Or is speed king with such a slow weapon? I've posted 2 examples I whipped up real quick below to illustrate the kind of difference I am talking about.
#1 128-423 spd 5.6
#2 123-452 spd 6.4
When I get a factory run up it will be better than either of these, I'm just trying to get a feel what to shoot for on this and wanted an example, let me know thanks (personally I'm a fan of the big huge damage and am leaning that way already but wanted to hear from people who actually USE them to see if I was way off base here
)
We are getting quite a few speed bonuses on our way up to mastering, so i would vote for damage.
As i said in the other post:
We are glad about any kind of feedback regarding the changes we can get from you weaponsmiths out there.
Thanks
The power hammer I use is a 6.0 speed monster. It's top end is in the 600s base (obviously sliced for damage, that might also be with a max damage powerup on it), I'll get you the full specs when I get home tonight.
I DEFINATELY prefer damage over speed for the power hammer because all I use the weapon for is bleeds (where up front damage is more important), and not as my usual fighting weapon (which is a curved 2h).
It will be interesting to see if people are able to make even nastier hammers than the one I currently use for the damage end of things.
