'ello.

Just found my way to the profession forums not to long ago . I've been hiding from it... but alas it was unavoidable.

I am a Master Brawler and Novice Heavy Swordsman (0-3-1-2) currently. The only thing I use in PvE is Beserk2. In PvP HeadHit3. Other then that I seem to find myself completely useless.

My questions for any knowledgable swordsmen out there:

AreHAM costs for higher end skills cost efficent? or should I just continue to use lower end skills as they are less HAM for the damage?

It seemed when i got my new headhit3 thatI could use it 3 times, 4 if I'm lucky, before I'm left with 20 or so action... then incap. I'm afraid to even touch the skill now .

How does KD work? (As if, after recent patch) Do you dizzy them first, then hit them with anyattack..? Lunge? I'm a bit confused as to where the combo flows. I don't have it yet, but I plan to get the AE one on the way to Master H.Swords, and the fencer one omw to MFencer.

Also, is there any location where I can get acurate skill discriptions, or possibly more descriptive ones? +5 to Melee Defense meens almost nothing to me?

Other then those few things, I'm doing pretty good for being as newbish as I may be

Thanks,

Oh also a side note.

I wear a full suit of Advanced Chitin (55-58% Kinetic). How heavy of change in my HAM do I take by wearing this.

Without it I feel I wouldn't be able to take any punishment though.

Also, is the power hammer ever worth it?
Mine isn't sliced yet, but doesn't hit for more then my Two-Hand curved by much more then 200-300. but way slower and seemingly less accurate. Maybe it just pissed me off more when I miss because of speed.

Another curious topic... Item condition.
Are weapons less effective the more the condition is lowered? Armor as well?
Does the chance for succesful repair change any based on current conditon?
Does being a weaponsmith/armorsmith give any bonuses to success rate of repair?

The best curved sword I've yet gotten my hands on was I think 314 max damage after slice (but before powerup).

The best power hammer I've yet gotten my hands on was 523 max damage after slice (after powerup 606).

I can pull out an average of 2500 a tick on bleeds with the power hammer. I do not often go above 1500 or so with the curved sword.

So in terms of Mind Hits I prefer the hammer, but in every day use I prefer the sword.
