Hello all,

I have started 2h sword and love it so far. I am a little discouraged by a lot of the posts I have read so far on the board. It looks like there are a lot of downsides to swordsman, but like I said I love it so far. My question is this: now to you stay close to your target so you can keep beating it to death? Soloing it isn't that hard, it wants to stay close most the time. Grouping is different though. I have the target run off and have to try and keep it within pounding distance. I have tried /follow with some luck, but I am hoping the pros here can let me know how to do this effectively when dealing with lag and a huge group blocking the line of site to the target. Thanks for your help.

If you mean in combat it will switch targets and get away from you use the Taunt skill to keep it on you.

If you mean near death it runs offtry using the lunge to slow it down so you can get to it or time your lunge when it's health gets low so it doesn't run off. Usually monsters that run near death just skip out 15m or so then slow down so unless you're in a high aggro zone it's not too much trouble to get to them (flying creatures being the exception, always try to lunge them before they take off as they can get to 120m out very quickly).
