I have been playing Commando since early August late July something like that, reached Master and a few weeks later I find my self bored, So I am phasing out the Commando and picking up a Scythe and a poerhammer. Are there any masters out there with some advice and a level headed run-down of teh proffesion. I was a broken Commando for well over a month so I do not think anything could be worse the that. please though level headed appraisals I can read complaint posts all day long I am interested in a stength and weaknewss appraisal.

how interesting.. a master commando turning to the sword. i don't know what to say .. I was under the impression that you were the Uber class. But if your bored you came to the right place.

Most of mix up creature handling and medic skills to survive. Some say 2H and Master Doctor is a good combo.

Are there enough points to stay commando and earn 2H?

there are some problems with 2H but they are so obvious that should get a fix soon.. or atleast by the time Santa revs up his sled. Check the dev tracker in Combat Issues Melee.

Yes you can do master commando, and master sword but would just be silly.

I'm doing just the flamethrower line in Commandoand it's actually a lot of fun so far. I get this strange sense of satisfaction burning things........er anyway, I'm not sure about mastering both being silly (not that I'm going to), but it seems this fella is just bored which can happen to anyone. Let's pray more content is on the way (and soon) as I can see a lot of people quiting after spending all their points.

Excellent sounds fun thanks for the input. So far seems a more enjoyable enviroment then the commando boards. and having reread my post I have to apologize for the spelling and grammar. Sounds fun I had to go ahead and get a powerhammer from my weaponsmith friend, it is pretty good as she is master and used good materials. Look forward to being on. Goodtimes all.

well you know what melee combat is like, so i think youll be ok for the most part. swordsman is tough but not as bad as a prepatch commandoe. like iagiag said we HAVE to pick up med skills and/or scout skills, but medic is almost a must. you wont get much defense, but youll be unloading heavy damage, granted your enemy stands right their for you. youll be fantastic in pve, but youll find yourself relying on you flamethrower 95% of the time in pvp. you can attack on the run, we cant, you attack while moving, we cant, and you gotta bleed that dishes out MAJOR damage. of course this might change when we get our 15m range, then you would be very effective, if it turns out ok. of course your a master marksman, dont you get some type of supression fire that kd's or does sumtthin (i don know) but im not sure cause carbineers have suppresion fire 2.

so good luck, and have fun. just make sure you group with a medic or pick up at least novice medic. and dont use a ph until u have techniques 4 and finesse 4. and start usin a good cleaver at tech 2 and fin 2. thats all the advice i have to give, again, have fun
