Thread: Can Someone clarify how counterattacks works differently than dodge

For the most part counterattack is the same as dodge in that it defends against an attack if you're primary defenses fail (ie melee defense). The differences are that dodge has an animation whereas counterattack doesn't, and supposedly the next attack is "unblockable". However by unblockable, i don't know exactly what they mean, or even if it works right, but i can tell you that after counterattacking i've had my attacks dodged/counterattacked/evaded.


One more thing all of the secondary defenses seem to be weapon specific, or at least that's what the numbers show.

Counterattacks don't work any differently than dodge (or block).

Same effect, different name. Just made that way so they aren't stackable, I guess.

Im unclear onthe difference here:



Pistoleer/fencer get dodge bonuses and are affected with COB


2H gets counterattack bonuses.


But i don't understand it. Shouldnt I be hitting for damage if I counterattack?


I'm under the impression that it's really another fancy way of saying it's the 2h counterattack.




Please explain it to me if I'm missing something here.
