Hello all!

I am on the verge of becoming a master swordsman and am in a quandary about which other professions to concentrate on.

I was originally going novice Rifle but ended up going the CH route.

I am now CH 2-2-2-2 and almost ready to "lvl up". I currently have pets- most of which I cannot currently use after the nerf. I should be able to use all but my Graul Mauler after my next box. I've definitely gotten used to the tanking combinations of using a pet (especicially since I'm a Wook and can't use armor).

I'm looking for advice on whether it might be better to go with Rifle vs. continuing with CH.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Depending on whether you PvP a lot, you might not want Swordsman. If you're in PvE mostly, 4 stackable mind bleeds is a great thing - you'll need it to go through those huge HAM bars quickly. But in PvP, it's probably better to have flexibility. If the two Rifleman mind bleeds don't kill someone, what are the odds that adding two more from Swordsman will change much?

Whereas Pikeman, for example, can stack on two cruel action bleeds - plus gets the benefits of sharing Block with Rifleman. So in PvP, there's nothing wrong with applying two different bleed types, with 2 stacked on each. That'll drain out even the strongest person in no time - and cut their ability to special against you to nothing as well. Think about it - their action is dropping, so they can't special without healing. And their mind is dropping, so they can't heal. Combine that with the nice knockdowns and damage a polearm gets, and it's probably a good bet.

This double bleed strategy works well for me on my Carbine/Swordsman character. Should probably work with the reversed pools with a different weapons set.

I love slapping the two rifleman bleeds on someone. plus haveing the sword to backmyself up close quarters.

Prime example of this,

Our city was being attacked by a very large Imperial guild, I pull out my T21 and bleed tab, bleed tab, bleed tab.. I notice a TKA and Battlemaster start running at me. I hit the Muon, and Tat sunburn icons on my ui bar. Equip my 2h curved sword... they are ontop of me, area3 area3, both dizzy, 2hlunge2 tab 2hlunge2... Then it's 2h hit3 till they are both dead at my feet.lastly I equip spray stick and chase down the mindless fools I bled earlier.

I am in the process of dropping CH for rifleman. You'll get the rangrd damage mitigation plus a total of FOUR stackable mind bleeds..... Nice

Yeah.. I know.. thus the hard decision ;-)

I'm almost to Creature Managment 3, which would allow me to have 2 pets out at once. I think I'll give this a try and see how I like it. I'm also a Novice Musician and I'm thus severely limited on skill points at the moment... Had to drop most of my post NM for politician but that has since turned sour.

Still drooling over that picture of the supposed Scythe!
