I'm TKM, Master Doc at the moment, I've only been tkm for about 2 weeks, but feel like a change allready. Even though I'd like to keep tka, it wont happen, so I was just wondering.
What is your Unarmed Defense like in comparison to tkm.
How do Master Swordsman go in pvp and pve?
If I chose to fight pve without armor will I get smashed? Or can Master Swordsman hold their own well enough?
What are the HAM costs like on your weapons? I never use Vibro's as TKM, too much HAM cost, and even though Im Master Doctor, I dont like the idea of having to buff myself before I fight all the time.
What sort of Damage do you guys deal in comparison to tk's?
By the way I'm not a holo Grinder, I just dont feel comfortable being tkm anymore, with so many people complaining about the profession, and swordsman I barely even hear of, or see for that matter, and my impression is that you guys are supposed to be a descent tanking class with real good damage!
Anyways thanks for your reply, I eagerly await a reply!

Our defenses blow compared to TKM. However, with the new bleed nerf we will be right up there with commandos in terms of DOT damage. I can bleed for 3,000 points or more per tick with my damage sliced and damage powered up hammer with mind hit 2. Swordsman outdamage TKM's on heavily armored targets only. It would bethe ideal situation if you wear 70% or higher kineticresistantubese armor and get Master Brawler. You will be uber in PvE. However, in PvP you will not be good. Lol, there are only 3 classes in PvP anyway. The TKM, The Rifleman, and The Combat Medic!

If you want to PVP, go with Rifleman. I'm more of a PVE guy so Im working towards Swordsman. Commando is probably the best in PVE with the Flame DOT

I'm concerned now with your accuracy... From what I can gather you guys miss at least 50% of your attacks?
Is this so at master level or is there just a tad bit of over exaggeration going on here?
I'd like to know if this constant missing also happens with your most powerful weapon (which I believe to be the Power Hammer).
My thought is what use is swingingthat muchif you only connect half the time, and especially at such a slow speed? I could deal with 75% of all attacks hitting, but 50% just doesn't seem worth it to me.
Also my question about Damage pve styles when compared to tka is still unanswered. If anyone would care to enlighten me, I would be very grateful.
I don't mean to be annoying with (I am sure) these noob questions, and I am not a "Power-Gamer" But I am getting tired of the passive-aggresive role I play as a tkm, and would really like to get in afight and cause some real damage!
But I would like to hit my target, and hit them hard, and my options seem limited to Swordsman, Rifleman, Bounty Hunterand commando, and I'm really enjoying melee combat at the moment.
Thanks once again for your time!

I think the main reason a lot of us complain about poor accuracy is the usual -30 range mods on our hammers, it is possible to get hammers with range mods a LOT higher than this (a weaponsmith I'm dealing with is going to make me a crate of -6 hammers) so I'm interested to see what the miss rate is with these.

The HAM usage of a swordsman is realy up to you. There are 3 weapons commonly employed by swordsmen: Powerhammer, Heavy cleaver and 2hand Curved sword.
The powerhammer has a HAM cost through the roof. Even with light armor it will fry your health pretty fast if your not carefull. But it can deal huge amounts of damage.
The cleaver is a alot nicer on the HAM, and I use it when dealing with many weak creatures. Not as much damage as a powerhammer, but faster.
The Curved sword has even less HAM cost, and most of it goes to action (so if your a rodian, your in luck). More max damage than the cleaver, but less min damage. Also the fastest weapon we have. There are many who prefer this sword over the cleaver.
So you can mostly chose what weapon to use when, tailoring your HAM cost as you chose. But note that even without specials, you can plow through alot of creature types with ease as you get closer to master.
Hope that helps.
