I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAPPENED BUT MY TEXT DIDNT SHOW... ANYWAY HERE IT IS:

/Bow… Hello all. I always come to the discussion boards (not just this one) to get some good tips or new info but seldom leave with anything more than bad vibes. No matter what the profession, the theme is the same with all combat professions; how our profession needs to be better and theirs’ needs to be worse. I think some people are starting to miss the idea here. It seems that some want a profession that is perfectly rounded and can be evenly matched with all others… even those in different classes. The point, in my eyes at least, in creating a character in this game is to create one that is unique and has his own set of strong points AND WEAKNESSES. The idea here would be to customize your character (not necessarily just in one field) to have the the abilities you want him/her to have. For example I am a master swordsman/ master brawler / novice rifleman / scout / marksman. My strong point is obviously melee and all that comes with it, ie; close combat good, ranged combat bad. I know out in the open I will get owned by a ranged profession and in close quarters I will rape him. This is a pretty basic idea so I have trouble understanding the complaining about combat classes not being even. Hello? That’s the name of the game. There is no “all-powerfull” profession nor do we want one. We keep getting nerfs to counter nerfs because every time one profession gets nerfed the rest benefit. Forget it. Stop whining about what you don’t have and start focusing on what your opponents don’t have… start thinking how to exploit it. That is the art of war. Protection of your weaknesses and exploitation of your opponent’s weaknesses. You want to beat ranged ans a melee?… Get him on your terms, hunt him down, stalk him, wait for the right moment. You wanna beat some one in your own class every single time?… hey, I want 6 billion credits deposited in my bank immediately so I can buy 6 holos and create a jedi and give him away to my girlfriend but since that’s not going to happen I’ll just go out and hunt for money and holos the good old-fashioned hamburger way and when I the wrath of my hammer or samurai finds it’s way to you please refrain from sending me a tell from where ever it is you cloned whining about how you don’t have mind bleed and it’s unfair because I’ll have to /reply: A TRUE WARRIOR NEVER WHINES, HE ADAPTS AND OVERCOMES.**********Aemon, Master Swordsman/ Master Brawler…Armed Intervention, Hope, Dantooine**********

Ok... first of all please use paragraphs in the future, it makes your text so much easier to read.

To address what you're saying... sure that would be true IF each profession had the SAME AMOUNT of strong points and weaknesses. It's when one class has 50 good things and 2 bad that the profession with 25 good and 25 bad start to get upset.

So you would rather see 90% of the people in the game be one of these good professions than see all professions balanced?

I dont really see what this post is about i haven't seen any melee complain about range professions for awhile its more like a melee vs melee thing.

I agree. I actually only feel that there are two really imbalancing moves in the game for PvP.

1) Dizzy/Knockdown. Come on... don't even try to justify this combo. It's just plain cheap. Why do you think knockdown was nerfed down to one every 30 seconds? Because it was overpowered. Just because less professions can do it now doesn't mean it isnt overpowered.

2) Combat Medic poison. I would give my opinions on it but they're long enough to make a thread of their own. Maybe I will someday, but not today.

what i am actually saying here guys is that there are many professions. i think you can take advantage of the whole hybrid thing here. i just think if they make all the professions equally strong the game will get boring. i personally can't stand the kd/dizzy but i am swordsman brawler and i have one myself with my aoe and lunge. i was able to get that by mixing my mods up. it was fun and there are less characters like me than there are tkm. that's my point... and if you are on Valcyn over the next couple months i'm going to show you how the right mix of the right professions can overcome nything... it just takes some thinking and creativity.

i think you missed the point of this whole entire forum section, it is not about got get another profession to hybrid with if you want to make it work. It shouldnt need to be that way, since when do TKA "needs" to hybrid. Fact is skill stacking isnt going to work anymore either so you theory completly nonifiled itself as well since hybrid skill stacking is going to get the cut anyways. to farther the point if we "swordman" need to hybrid to make us a good fight what about the already good profession who uses same amount of points as we do also hybrid? we still get left behind in the dust trying to catch up simply we have not been properly balanced.

There is alot of problem with our profession and luckily the devs knows most of our problem, but if it gets sorted or not will be a different sorry, we might yet again get walked over and something added to farther hinder our profession (i am preying it wont happen again)
