Thread: Does Master 2handed/master pikeman go well together?

Just wondering, I was thinking of going Master Brawler/Master Pikeman/Master Swordsman.

that's pretty much my template, i also have 3000 in medic and 4000 in tk I just finished 2hand last night, but i like the idea of using the hammer for 1 on 1 and pike against groups. if you stick with it, i think you'll like it.

No.... They both suck when paired together. The best pikes that mind poison only have a 200-300 point mind DOT. I mastered both because of a pike holo. The defenses are so crappy

Eti, you couldn't be more wrong. The defenses may suck but we have enough to keep us alive for enough time to deliver some devasting attacks. With buffs and a good set of armor, i think we last more than most professions do. I went to the nightsister stronghold with another master pikeman last night, we managed to make it down to the big tough broad and dispatch her "protectors" once. The second time we ventured down the master pike got killed as we tried to lure them out. However, switching back and forth between the two, I was able to solo a few of the protectors almost back to back.
This is one combo I think i'll actually keep for more than a week. I've tried 2hand/tkm, tkm/pistoleer/rogue, tkm/masterbrawler/master pike, and finally pike/2hand/master brawler. And this is by far my favorite. If you don't think it's effective it might be because you don't know how to effectively use food, armor, buffs, and your weapons.
Aside from all that this combo has high damage weapons that do kinetic, blast, and electricity. Rarely if ever will you find anything with high resistances to all, aside from jedi.
I say stick with it. Meditation is a good skill to have in the field, especially since nightsisters like to wound me so much with those **edit** bleeds.

i like it a lot. right now, i'm master pike/brawler/swordsman, with novice medic, and 2002 tka. when i'm done, i'll be 4003 tka, so i can heal my own wounds, get extra time on power boost, and a little more melee/ranged defense. i like both of these professions, so i mastered both. and with master brawler, it really doesn't matter how slow you are. once they're kd'd and warcry2'd, you have all the time you need to lay the beat down.

You can choose to be both. However, getting Dirty Fighting in smuggler is so much better. With that line and ubese armor, nothing will ever incap you. Whenever you get in trouble you can feign death and regenerate.

but mav rocks he is a lot better than me. his mind bleeds/mind hits were freakin awesome! and we could both stack action bleeds and do leg hits=D. his template is awesome, i might actually think about doing it when my stacked ranged/melee def template gets nerfed =| ...... =3
