well i want to know what the title says ive nearly mastered swordman and not touched a sythe yet im mainly using my 2h curved sword and ph and what sort of price would i be looking at

well I think it depends on how well made the scythe is. personally own a scythe blade that has been used so much the max condition is like 320. I used it for a lil bit here and there, was impressed with the speed of mine, but the damage wasn't high enough. My power hammer vastly outperforms it even wth 4.1 speed, the scythe had 2.0 speed on it. So look at the speed, if its decent, i've seen scythe blades that are like 300-450 damage on it, that sucker would rock this world with the 1.9 speed. I just can't afford the price the dude wants for the price atm...

I have paid 400-1million for my scythes. I love them! Compared to the power hammer damage output is much less but accuracy is WAY better. It all boils down to what you wold like to use it for, if its for PvE stick with the hammer and you will plow through everything but if its for PvP scythe is the way to go.

I carry a scythe, but only use it on high level mobs when I need the AP or if they are blast resistant.

mines 400 with powerup.... but the speed gets it done for me.......im working on mastering swords a second time, but once i learn novice i have the combat XP to just straight to 0/0/0/3

i dont know the stats off the top of my head but i have a bada$$ ackley hammer and i still prefer to carry my scythe, for the AP, the speed (im not capped), and it does hella sweet damage(that sucker if full t3h ub3r yellow cubes) and i like the way it looks, we are SWORDSman not HAMMERman (i am but thats another story, nothing sexual) cause the scythe just plain ole looks sweet. but those are my 2cents

I had a 222-317 unsliced i bought for 1.25M, it was the highest min damage i had seen on any unsliced blade. But right after i bought it the smuggler god became angr with me or something, and it resulted in a 15% Speed Slice ... so know i have a 2.1 222-317 Scythe ... yipee!

In addition to the reasons listed, it is also very useful on the corvette missions due to the 85% resist to blast many of the enemies have. The scythe is a great weapon in almost every respect. In the event that is isn't working there is always time for the good old acklay PowerHammer.

i have both, i got a 5.3speed 618max dmg un puped PH and a 1.8speed 340max dmg scythe and i liek the scythe in every aspects, when i go to the geos to camp acklay i use scythe for soloing it but when others show up i use the PH with pup whihc is like 720ish, when i go up to the vette of course i use the scythe and when NS's come around i use the scythe lol except on the elders of course pretty much i use my scythe whereever i go. Now ican't wait till im capped on speed and get a good dmg sliced scythe hmm yummy, but scythe is one of the most "uber" weapons i nthe game imo (crafted ones) but thats my 2 cents

For swordsmen without attachments for speed and acc the scythe is probably better then aphin most situations.
