I'm 1-4-3-3. What is the best thing to grind with no buffs and no help?

With Ubese armour and a bit of medic (and at least fair stim-Bs), Quenkers and Pikets aren't hard. You just can't spam specials without using a stim every few hits. Actually, I tried giving healing XP to another character by semi-spamming specials, no buffs at all. Find somebody grinding Medic or the first part of Doctor if they'd like a break from tumblers. In fact, that might work even better with a power hammer ... any other weapons with far higher H/A costs than M?

problem with swordsmen are the ham costs on you when you aren't buffed.. if you have medic skills and can heal that you would do fine... as to what you can solo w/o buffs.... quenkers for sure, possibly stalkers not sure... i only grind when im buffed makes it easier

i used to fight about 7k plus creatures unbuffed as swords near novice only actually maybe 0-0-1-0. thing is uses lots of stims and also make use of ham lowering power ups.

And DE-10 here, he's the shepherd protecting my righteous a55 in the valley of darkness. Or it could be you're the righteous man and I'm the shepherd and it's the world that's evil and selfish. I'd like that. But that ain't the truth. The truth is you're the weak. And I'm the tyranny of evil men. But I'm tryin'. I'm tryin' real hard to be a shepherd.

Jedi should be executed, no trial, no jury just straight to execution.

Ok, more info that you need here - but I figure your post will attract interest from others too

Hmm, unbuffed, encumbrance on armor is critical. You might want to consider getting hold of a suit of Mabari, which will stop the worst of the damage, and leave you able to get more hits between stims. Encumbrance on a full suit is only around 100/100/100 as I recall, and 20% kinetic on a decent suit of mabari will stop 60% of the damage from most creatures (except those that spit acid at you like spineflaps).

I recommend getting 2430 medic at least, and using stim C's. Also get your stats migrated to support you - I had something around 750/500/150/750/450/150/900/500/700 stats on my zabrak, which was a good enough balance to work with for healing, and swinging specials. (If you're human, you'll have to balance out properly, like humans used to have to when their stat maximums on secondaries were 600, before SOE broke the human race stats in a patch to address bugs in stat migration)

As far as creatures - I killed a lot of things on naboo - Shaupaut Hunters are the high end of fight-able, Mountain Ikopi's on Naboo, Ravenous Tortons on Rori are good, and Kahmurra's, Dalyrakes and Torturs on talus are also good. Once you hit master, you can even go solo rancors in your mabari, although you don't want to agro an entire lair at a time, and need to make judicious use of intimidate, stims, muon and running-away.

I'd recommend avoiding quenkers, or other acid-spitters, as mabari and ubese both don't resist acid. I'd also avoid Ubese, as the encumbrance on it is pretty significant for an unbuffed player. If you need the acid resist, get a tantel helmet, chest and boots made - can come out around 20% to all, and still be light, altough not as light as mabari. If you do the math including armor ratings, a suit of 20% mabari will stop 2/3rds the damage that a suit of 75% ubese will.

Be careful with your pulls of social creatures - walk up while /peace'd and walk away with the agro before they call their mates for help. Once you're out of range of their help, beat them

I also started a toon on Test Center to fight unbuffed with.. made it to Master Brawler, 4012 pikeman so far in a suit of mabari with some medic and no buffs. Its a lot more fun than the dull mindlessness that is a fully-buffed person in composite who runs zero risk of dying.

Durni's? Meatlumps? Dont know, haven't been without buffs for about a year now. No buffs = no armor = no badass enemies. Are you taking moral highground against buffs? There is no way you can say that 10k is too much to pay for buffs. Get buffed, get armor, and go to Dant andspin someJantas.

I have nothing against buffs. I just want to see what my true limits are. So far, I am solo hunting rontos, banthas and dewbacks on Tatooine. I am just curious what my limits truly are.

Well... back in the old days... before the dark times.. before the Empire... before there was Wookiee armor and before there were major buffs... I managed to master Sword- granted- it took a heck of a lot longer back then but it was lots of fun. Tattered Tortons were some of my favorites- pekos and falumps. The 'cats were fine as long as I didn't run into a whole pack. My advice: pick a planet... start out with some cheap missions and go on up- you'll eventually find something in the hard to very hard range.

Good luck and let us know what you end up deciding your limit is!

I've worked unbuffed on TC. In general, be a miser about your armor, be careful of specials, and have a good supply of StimB's. I only buff mind. I could handle Shauput Hunters and Plains Stalkers at 0010. (In comparison, I was almost a master fencer before I could do the same thing unbuffed.)

Aside from that, be very judicious in picking your battles. That's 9/10 of the game.

You can do fighters harder than you think, but you have to know your target critter. You'll develop tactics eventually, and the fights get easier. You should know all the ins-and-outs of armor and resists, because you will live or die by your choice of weaponry and armor.

I have a Ranger/Swordsmen, had a contract for dant. wild and herbivore meat. I accidentally got stuck in a seething bol crusher spawn, but i made it through. All i had was Accaragm and Gammorl. With a good PH, a single bol crusher is nothing. Some time soon i am gonna try to pull a single rancor and see what happens. For armor , all i had was a Ubese jacket, bracers, and boots.

Good luck with it.
