Thread: Considering Taking up 2H sword and have some questions.
hello everyone, any advice here would be welcome
I'm working my way up through the rifleman prof and was considering going either ranger or 2h sword to compliment my abilities.
do 2H sword attacks drain from the mind pool? (I primarily mean head hit and mind hit)j
do the other attacks available make this a good grouping prof or is it primarily a solo thing (like rifles) . of course, I guess it'd work great with other swordsmen and rifleman. =)
having fun? =)
yes we have a mind hit attack that goes great with rifles head hit, a lot of players do the 2h sword/rifle combo.
crud.. I guess I phrased my question poorly.
I mean when you perform a head or mind attack does it drain YOUR mind pool or just your action pool? I know that it drains the opponent's. My fault, I should have worded question better.
all special attacks drain from all your pools. So have modifiers attached that increase the drain of one particular pool
EX. some rifle skills have a 2x mod on mind drain like the bleeds and higher level headshots.
I belive, but am not sure that its the same with our head hits. However, Ive noticed most of my drain in the health (axe) and action (sword) pools. the weapons in parens tend to drain most heavily from those pools. As an example I belve my sword has H/A/M of 30/61/27 or something to that effect.
did u find your answer?
took awhile =) but here goes.
the action cost on 2 handed curved is around 30s/60s/30s (more or less.. probably more.. 5 more on some)
while on vibro-axe its 70s/20s/30s (i forgot.. kinda making it up, but i know the health cost is the high one)
soooo.... good news =) u get to choose health or action pool to drain...
bad news, no mind =P well not much.. and if u're a rifleman i'm guessing u have tons of mind already..
good news.. with tons of mind u can heal nonstop
=)
not sure the stats on power hammer. i'm guessing similar to vibro axe (eats health)
but they sux nowadays anyway. curved is the way to go.
ack -50?
well thanks for the info.. sigh.. I was hoping that I could beef up my mind pool at the expense of a little action and health but I guess not.. sigh... well I guess I'll just go for ranger in the mean time. Ranger/Rifleman is a nice combo. =)
