Thread: Update 07/26/03
Good morning,
first of all i wanted to inform you that i got confirmation from Q-3PO that our mail has been received and that he will get it to the Dev Team, mentioning that it might take them a little while to respond because the correspondent program is pretty new.
I would like to thank you all again for your input last week. You havedone a great job and helped me alotbecause so many of you didn't only mention your issues but also added possible solutions.
I have seen that meanwhile there has been done more work on your side to find possible solutions for the ranged combat and area/sweep hit issues. Sorry that i couldn't get them into my mail but at some point i simply have to press the "send" button, hope you guys understand. That doesn't mean of course that they won't be taken into consideration. Personally i don't know at this point when and how we will get our responses, but in case we get them before our next mail we can simply see what their point of view about those issues are, what they intend to do, if they accepted one of the solutions we proposed and then react adequatly by maybe sending in some more of the solutions you came up with. In case we don't get anyanswer before next friday we can always create a follow up onour issues reported this week and implement those additional solutions you came up with. Does that sound ok ?
Today i willspend most of my day playing if you guys are ok with that. I did some marvelous XP last night on Endor and i'm gonna try and see if i can slip into another group today. Seems that finally there is some more life on that planet again. In beta it was just great: you had groups forming and heading out every 15 mins or so, almost 24/7 and if you are more or less advanced in our profession it doesn't take many people to get some nice xp together. Last night, towards the end, there were only left another swordsman, a novice doctor and two ranged players in our group...and we did great, especially because the doc constantly monitored the brawlers HAM bars and gave us some impressive healthshots while fighting. Try avoiding those huge aggroing birds though, they can give you a disease which causes one of your HAM bars to go down to 1%...and i'm talking wounds here, not damage. In my case it was the mind bar, lucky enough we had some entertainers with us in the beginning, so i was able to heal up in a camp once the disease was gone. If you intend to go to Endor do it from Naboo, costs around 2k...compared to the 4k you pay for going there from Corellia, which reminds me that at some point i will probably also have to head back home to Corellia today to pay maintenance for my little house in the mountains....hate that...hehe....
Anyway...meanwhile please continue posting your issues, preferably in my "please post your issues here" thread and i will start working on them more intensively again tomorrow or at the latest monday. As you might have seen already i also created a new Swordsmen's Round Table thread, to collect more information about issues with the power hammer.
As usual, please feel free to post your comments, improvements or disagreements about my modus operandi.
Greetings,
Gorecki
