Generic Melee Weapon Kits (aka weapon power ups)

Weapon power ups can improve any stat on a weapon, including HAM costs.

And at the high levels, weapon power ups can have mods of up to 35%!! Yeah thats right, 35% decrease in HAM costs!!!!

Just an idea for those of you who are REALLY being f-ed over by the HAM costs. (Until they fix it.)

Ive seen and bought one in a vendor in the player city south of Coronet on Bria...for those who are on that server.

It cost me 1 credit...but then also lasted only for 15mins or so.

Here's a tip...

Do a search in entire galaxy and for Melee Powerups and examine the details of a bunch.

Usually the "Lightening" add a lower percentage Action cost for special moves. Some have multiple names, like "Lightening Generic Melee Weapon of Control Enhancement". The ones with longer names usually add multiple stats. Of course the higher percentage the better, and will vary depending on the skill of the crafter and the resources they use to make them.

For example, the one I named above adds:

Special Move Action Cost: 29.144999% (lowers the total Action cost on your weapon by this percentage)

Attack Speed: 14.355% (lowers Attack Speed of your weapon by this percentage)

So, search through the Bazaar and when you find a really nice powerup with good stats, look and see who crafted it. Fire them off an email and tell them you want to place a bulk order of like 20, and which kind you prefer. If you buy in bulk, you can usually get them from150-300 credits per. This sounds like alot but they really do help when you're in a tight situation.

I agree that these can help. However, due to the fast attack speed of a 2H curved sword (especially if you get one that increases attack speed), these last only a few fights. So you need to buy a ton of them...

are they craftable?? if so, who makes them? I'll be putting a standing order in.

I have used these a lot and they do help but one thing to keep in mind is they also greatly increase the wear on your weapon and it's condition will drop much quicker which can be annoying given the very high (at least on lowca) price for melee weapons. 20K for a 2 handed Curved sword. Is this the price on other servers also?
