I too love this profession (having Weaponsmith as my other profession makes splitting the time between the two very difficult) and i won't go any other route. My only complaint is that PvP is geared towards the firearms based professions and leaves us pretty much out in the cold..........until they come out with a sword with a 65k range we're pretty much stuck between a rock and a laser rifle........

well at least we both have swordsman/rifle and uses caella's goody =) lol

in fact i have 3 of her sword.. they're the best.

anyway i started as rifle.. wanted swords as a mind damager..

hated the **edit** axe... but once i got the sword i was in love...

found out the damage on the mind = kill my own ham.. so i can't combo with rifle....

toss the rifle and kept the sword. lol and just recently i climbed higher than my rifle spec =) ... but in PvP, my sword kill = 3, my rifle kill = 9 (pet kill= 2)

and the 3 kills are against marksman who dare to duel me under 5m range..

headhit3 and they're dead before either of us could raise an arm (usually just a wrist-flick.. its so fast)

but i tried that against TKA... my usual 1000-1500 damage headhit3 becomes 500.. and he KD me and bam bam bam.. dead..

tried again.. i use sweep this time.. he KD me faster and i'm dead

so for those occassion (and for pvp in general) i'm gonna switch to a damage sliced weapon (mine is speed sliced) since i can do more damage and i can probly kill ppl in one hit better..

I really want to consider this profession and wanted to hear you swordsmans thoughts about how u like using swords to bring you foes to rest.

Personally, I love it, and I am not going to switch over to anything else. I only use a sword now, but I do have some rifle skills. I use a 2H curved sword, which I bought from Caella (Bloodfin server). The only real complaint I have is concerning PVP. I get KDd by some TKA person and the fight is over. Ranged fighters run away from me, and I usually can't catch them, lol. But overall, I think swordsman is lots of fun and I would recommend it highly. Besides, very few people use swords, andfew of thoseare women, so in my case I am quite unique.
