Yep. Thats why Im putting a lot of emphasis on "In Test". I want to make sure that positive posts and oppinions get notited and included in development and design
Thunderheart -- any word if the requirement to use this weapon is moved -- it should for sure be at least at Novice Heavy Swordsman --
Just curious, even if the answer is no.

Ok, I have two non-Swordsman questions...
1) Genosian Complex - Um, where? I have scoured the test center notes, looked all over and couldn't find anything about this (its new so i guess its still in testing)... So the question is, where can i learn more about this new place?
2) Weaponsmiths - Can only weaponsmiths use the schematics or can anyone use them? and are they temporary only? or permenant shematics?
Thanks in advance for your pateince and knowledgable insight...

1) The Genosians are on Yavin 4. JustG has a thread about this new content on the TC forum that is worth checking out.
2) You need to be a master weaponsmith to use the schematic. It has two uses. Technically this could mean that you could make two manufacturing schematics. In practice, you will be gated by the power cubes and it would be hard to squeeze more than 2 scythes out of a schematic (it would require 7 identical cubes and a good first time assembly to get two scythes out of one schematic use).
. . .
Something somewhat discouraging to note: people have been having problems trying out the quest today. The quest giver doesn't seem to want to talk to anyone. Oops. We'll have to see if we can figure out what happened here.

2 uses? LOL
I wait 6 months for a weapon, then I have to fight a krayt dragon just to get 2 tries with it.. that better be a TC only thing.

Too bad its on Yavin...I went there on a guild hunt and have crashed constantly ever since. I've pretty much determined that the planet cursed me.

But as it stands, you're not even required to be a Heavy Swordsman to use one -- just a Two Handed IV.
Not sure if any of you play Eclipse, our Weaponsmiths are greedy, and would charge ungodly amounts to make this weapon.
I love Heavy Swordsman, and think I deserve the same opportunity as anyone to get a Scythe (I pay to play)
Limiting is one thing, making exclusively rare is another...this isn't Mandalorian Armor we're talking about, it's a sword.
Let's be honest, who's really gonna try and get the schematics...Heavy Swordsman, but since quests can't be repeated, unless we can coax our friends into doing it too...they'll be more than rare.
Hopefully Test Center and figure it out tho, wish I could hop on there...but dun wanna grind up character again. I do agree some rare things are nice, but not when they're requirement is Two Handed IV, in a basic brawler tree. Or even a sword for that matter, especially since our weapons are so...limited anyways.

It's called Scythe Blade, not Scythe. Notice what the entire blade looks like? Now add a staff to where the hilt is and it looks like a big Scythe.
You're wielding the blade of the scythe itself not the staff with scythe blade attached

Nice, Nice, I am very pleased with this new weapon. I think with a bit of stat migration, and fishak (although with chefs changing, who knows...) this could become my weapon of choice. Plus it looks awesome.

As a Master Sharpshooter I can say that the best combos for mind are Breath of Heaven and Corellian Fried Ice Cream. With both of these and my T21 Equiped (HEAVY mind cost) I use 14 action per shot. No mind at all.
Also before ohters jump in I used to be a M Swordsman and I LOVEEEEED my Powerhammer. As a Wookiee, Buffed and a minor pet I was able to Solo Rancors. Stacked Mind bleeds, step back, let pet tank for a few moments step close enough for a few mind hits and it died within 20 seconds or so. So Range Mods arn't that bad.

Hey, here's an update.
The scythes aren't updated on TC yet. I made one tonight and it was basically the same. This time I used HAM reducing power cubes instead of damage ones. I also got all great successes on the final scythe (although not on the core itself).
It came out a bit better than my other ones I'd say, given that the changes to the scythe don't seem to be in yet.
Here's a screen shot.
There are also still some issues with the quest-giver. He won't give his quest to all players. We're not really sure why that is. At first I worried that the quest had been taken out as I couldn't find anyone at all who could do the mission, however that does not seem to be the case -- a newbie walked up and got the quest just fine.
Anyhow, just a status check, I'm trying to make sure these two issues get dealt with asap.
