All the weapons I'd like to see have already suggested (my own personal favs 2H Vibro Seord, and a better Vibro-Axe (Make those Stormies scrunch REAL well..))

I'd also like to see a design aspect, in the same way that Crafters can choose the design of City Statues, same template different appearance, implement something similar for the Swords/Axes etc. Therefore you're allowing every-one to have a different look without having to introduce and balance loads of different weapons.

I'd also like to see our best weapon put in the MAster box, kind of a reward for getting there, and also making a master more powerful than a dabbler.

Just my two cents

A flail, or a hook like weapon would even the odds a bit for those who "fight and run away, to live to fight another day". That is, if it gives you a decent chance to trip up an opponent...long enough to clock him over the head with the hammer.

Or how about something even more useful, a Swordsman footspeed ability...so we can run juuuuust a bit quicker to CATCH our opponent!

electricity weapon would be the "vibro" axe.

Umm, no, all we have is kinetic and blast. The Vibro axe is kinetic.

I would personally like to see a lightning/electric baton of some sort. Like the tasers that police use. They exist now, I don't see why they couldn't exist in Star Wars. After all it's simply a matter of having a battery discharging across poles.

That gives me an idea, why not have a electrical weapon that uses batteries?

Off to bed before I make any more silly proposals.

Well a few ideas to add to the pool:

Heavy Graviton Mace/Flail - Large Mace with a miniature particle accelerator that forces gravitons into the head of the mace. When swung this mace is light but hits with the impact with huge force due to the interaction of the gravitons altering the mass of the Mace Head.

Shocking Cleaver - a Powered weapon with large electical capcitors that discharge upon impact.

Ice Flamberge - Another large 2handed sword containing flowing along the blade is a special chemical lowered to almost absolute zero and sealed using tiny magnetic fields. When impacted these fields dissolve letting the super cooled liquid flow over the target causing severe cold dmg.

Plasma Axe - Larget two handed axe that emits thin lines of super heated plasma along the edges of its blades. Causing massive heat dmg.

Just a few ideas

The addition of damage types would be nice, but as far the weapon itself, i'd like to see a scimitar, katana, broadsword, or double bladed axe with a vibro motor in it. Of all of these i'd prefer the scimitar simply because we don't have one, but any of the above with the name and look of a "vibro" weapon would be fine with me.

Flame swords, Ice swords, double-bladed swords? How does any of this fit into our profession? Don't get me wrong, I wouldn't complain if we got weapons like this, but I don't think its a realistic suggestion. Some of them don't sound very Star-Wars-like and you must remember that whatever of the devs give us, they have to balance with every other profession. If we get fire damage commandos will whine, and fencers will want acid swords. I just don't see it happening anytime soon.

I think Nicolai hit the head on the nail earlier about the two-handed vibrosword. Its already a Star Wars weapon, and would fit right in with what the other classes already have. KOTOR did such a wonderful job of portraying melee combat in the Star Wars universe, I was pretty disapointed when I found out that we didn't get one.

To describe in detail its something between a two-handed curve and a cleaver. Not too heavy but not as light as the curved. The blade is straight and for lack of a better description its just a basic design kinda like what Aragorn uses in LOTR.

The damage would not be as high as a powerhammer but would still by fairly high due to the virbo unit. What it doesn't have in max damage to the powerhammer in would make up for in speed and actual damage per second. Its also a weapon of precision not just brute strength, so it should have a fairly high accuracy and lower health costs than a PH, but higher mind.

If possible I would like to see the certification given only at Master Heavy Swordsman, for a couple of reasons. First, I think that being able to use a Master weapon of some kind would really feel gratifying, and reward those who seek to master our profession. Second with all the grieving and pawning templates out there the devs are trying to keep things in balance by nerfing this and nerfing that. The thing is, they already have a wonderful method of controlling pawning templates with the skill point system. By giving weapon certs at master levels they can really separate the dabblers from the masters. Therefore, they can encourage more players to actually master professions, using more skill points and preventing the dabbling pawning templates.

Inferno Axe(2h scimitar if you're **edit** about our class name), Lower min than Power hammer, Higher max, deals Heat damage.

Electro Cleaver, higher min than cleaver, lower max, deals stun damage.

The vibro katana would be cool, but what would be the point of another kinetic weapon?

Heavy Cleaver - Need I say more. I love the look of the cleaver the the current stats are weak. Make it a little bigger than the current cleaver andmake it ahalfserrated blade. And of course damage\speed numbers to match.

Gorecki asked us to post ideas on new Swordsman weapons, and thats what we're doing. It dosn't really matter if they will be implemented or not.

Well I thought my descriptions put them into the sci-fi descriptions? Why couldn't you have a small plasma based weapon.....or cold based weapon? We have a world based on star travel and high technology. I think any conceivable weapon could be made. At least that is what I think.

...elaborate how a melee weapon would be able to deal plasma damage, cold damage, or fire damage. Yes, you put petrolium on a sword and light it on fire and you have fire damage, you keep a sword in an absolute 0 environment for a long time and you'd have cold, but how would those enhancements last? The petrolium would run out, even the cold blade would warm up on Hoth. The only other damage types that would make sense with out class would be stun and electric, but why need stun? We dont need blunt weapons, let the one handed people use them. I hate the fact that our most powerful weapon is a hammer. Call us demolitioners or something if you want the swords and axes, but not swordsman. it's a disgrace.

I think our master cert should be a double bladed sword, as seen below.
