Hard choice, but it's the most realistic. I've been a master swordsman for almost 1.5 yrs now. I ground through the profession w/ a 2hand curved sword (most realistic and true to profession) and used the phammer when I needed A LOT of dmg. I now have an ADK's Acklay phammer that sliced/p-up'd does 550 DPS and hits for just shy of 3k dmg per special. I got my Sith sword (BTW, what's w/ the lack of 2hand wpns in this expansion??)sliced/p-up'd and does 500 DPS. I use the same config now, sword most times, hammer for tough situations.
I agree a sword should have much lower SAC than a hammer. I agree we need a master cert'd sword. I couldn't believe that the Sith Sword was non-cert'd, non-bio-linked. If they don't want to give us a sword that does more dmg than a hammer, then give us a sword w/ close dmg (like the Sith) w/ a signifigantly reduced SAC. That way we can make a choice on efficiency for power. Or just replace the hammer graphic w/ a sword and I'll be perfectly happy.
I think they should switch the certifications for the powerhammer and the scythe. They should also make the scythe do the same damage as the powerhammer as it is now with much less SAC (and lower the damage of the powerhammer and a bit less SAC). Why do I think this? Well first of all, the scythe is what I think of when I think of a two-handed heavy sword. It looks like the kind of thing that would cut through huge things like butter. It is also much harder to obtain than a powerhammer.
They should make a two-handed katana for master certification as well. It should have a little less damage (say an average of 900-1000 max damage) with a quite low speed and very low action cost.
And make the executor hack like a combination of both (although not too low SAC so it is not overpowering) as the schematic is hard to get.
I've always been a big fan of the two handed cleaver, and often carry if round just for the look. I'd much rather have a sword than a powerhammer, any day of the week. Of course, it has to be at least as good as the ph, otherwise it will be useless.
Good luck convincing the devs to sort this out for us!
