I'm personally rethinking my combat template as well, I have master Marksman, scout 4040, Brawler 4040, Commando 0242, novice Medic and will probably get Creature Handler 4124 but will have to drop commando's heavy support and acid trees to fill everything up with 2 skill points left, any suggestions to any kind of template adjustment? I MIGHT drop Commando but will give it a few patches to go first.

You know ....when they do this so called combat revamp...we'll be doing this all over again.

ive been doing my master riffles/mastersword TKA4004 medic 0100 for a few weeks now (just finished riffles) and i kick ass....
I havent solo'd the big stuff (krayts/DJM/NSE)but i can with my doctor TKM pal...and we have no problem with my DOC/riffle pal in the gang too...we got some nice stratiagies...

Though it is not my cup of tea, the novice Smuggler/CM/Commando template does provide the EQ Monk-like ability to kill safely while laying around watching the world go by. I never liked the Monk class(mostly the FD ability), and wouldn't personally do it in SWG either, but it can be used to solo anything, whereas other templates take damage enough to make hunting some things not worth the effort due to the constant beating your armor takes.
I like TK/Swordsman with Fencer defenses thrown in as aPvEtemplate.
