Thread: Master Swordsman Deserve a Masters Sword
"from a RP- how would a profession who devotes their entire career to fighting be able to make a better, more advanced weapon than a profession who devotes their entire career to making weapons"
What does Tiger Woods know about the equipment he uses - i mean, he just golfs.....
What does a Sniper know about how his rifle shoots - Nothing, he just pulls the trigger....
What does Emeril know about his cooking equipment - Not a gdammm thing , he's just making food.....
When someone uses a certain item, wheather it be a weapon, a tool, or any other type of gadget - he/she may find the usuability of this widget to be flawed ( which could be improved with his/her own skills. )
Just my thouhts - all for the master weapons
I just don't want to see a master male twilek dancer in Master male hotpants showing of his master tentacle ![]()

Okay Chabian please don't bring real life into a MMO, because it just makes yourself look like a complete jackass. For one IRL I am an acomplished marksmen, and my father went through the FBI sniper school, and graduated in the top 90% of his class. So when you say
"What does a Sniper know about how his rifle shoots - Nothing, he just pulls the trigger...."
you really have no idea what you're talking about. Now because I don't feel like it I wont get into details such as windage, bullet drop, visability, and your escape rout if in hostile territory. I don't think you realize the training that a person has to go through to attain the title of "Sniper," and as for Chef Emeril, andI'm sure he also knows things about cooking equipment alot of manufacturers don't know (just like a sniper does), but since I'm no chef I wont get into that. However there are such things a sniper must take into account that a weapons manufacturer doesn't; such as how long does it take to fully disassemble my rifle down into the trigger assembly, stock, barrel, magazine, receiver, and scope? How fast can I rack the bolt, and have another bullet in the chamber ready to fire, or what parts of the weapon are hardest to repair or clean. Now an example of something a swordsmen must know that a weaponsmith doesn't is how long does it take me to draw my sword?
btw The master weaponsmiths already have enough credits make it so only master (insert combat profession) can supply weaponsmiths with the critical parts of the master weapons, and they can't just run them off the assembly line.

I am a master weaponsmith and love the idea of master weapons. It really doesn't follow the game flow for the swordsman to build them, but I am ok either way. Just the idea of a weapon only a master can wield is exciting. I would love to see it!
