Ok . now what about those of us that DON'T have CH skill? I'm going Doc instead . and as nice as CH is . I won't have it. what would be the best advise?

Get buffed, go to talus and get two tortur missions close to one another. (preferably far away from town) run out there on your mount and kill all the torturs at nest 1 then run tonest 2 (leave the nest intact) then go kill all the torturs at nest 2 and run back to nest 1 (ad nausium) You can usually empty anest3 times before they stop respawning and the respawns will heal thenest damage you had todo to tempt a few more torturs out of hiding :-) By novice swordsman you should be mowing through torturs with a doctor buff on you. I havn't counted XP.
