Those are some nice powerups Suzana. Never seen one with the extra 7% stat on the end. Though 32/16 was the best they could get without sacrificing % for another stat.

Btw, A new Iron popped up on Chilastra, so I'm now getting unsliced PH's that are 5.3s 473 (I believe they can still get slightly better, its early days.)

I just ordered a crate of 25, but haven't managed to get them sliced yet. Will post results once I do..

I think my highest dmg powerhammer at the moment, with a 16% max dmg powerup, is 714 or 716, around that. So you have a very nice weapon there indeed

Yes, that is the original unsliced stats. I used the same material as you do except a 945 SR steel for the final combine (nice work getting hold of the 994SR steel!)

Thank you. You know, this is going to sound horrible, but it was really bothering me for a while to think that someone on Corbantis was able to make a better sword than I was able to. I absolutely concede firearms, power hammers, axes, Rykk blades... heck, everything else. I have no desire to compete with anyone on that stuff. It would seriously surprise me, though, ifany of theestablishedmaster weaponsmiths on Corbantis was not able to total out-do me on every other weapon available, but on katanas? No, I don't think so - or at least, it would bug me tremendously if anyone could.

But having built thecharacter for the sole purpose of being the best swordsmith in the galaxy (the name "Masamune" being a historical reference to the greatest Japanese swordsmith ever), it really bugged me to think someone else could do better.

Of course nowI have to make that powerup, or one better, though I don't feel anywhere near the same pressure to do so. I guess I tend to think of that as a separate item.

What race is Masamune, because some races get crafting bonuses. So you might get outdone by someone based on factors out of your control.

Human, actually...

What's funny is that I specifically intended to get the "best" possible race for weaponcrafting when I originally made the character - my buddy had created a Bothan with a fair amount of artisan experience and a good chunk of stuff, and I deleted that character entirely just so I could start over as a human.

Unfortunately, I didn't have anything other than a vague recollection that humans got an experimentation bonus on weapons to guide my choice, so I may have picked the wrong race.

That would truly suck, though, and yes... Ithink I might justdelete Yukimitsu and start completely over, if that were the case.

Oh, and two other things...

1.) I realize that the experimentation skill tapes represent a factor largely outside of my control. While it would be nice to have +10 in weaponsmith skill tapes, I realize this is highly unlikely for me, given that I don't really accumulate a lot of cash and probably wouldn't be able to but very many (if any at all).

2.) Someone mentioned once that someone he knew mastered weaponsmith in 60 hours. I've previously maintained that by using a macro from SWG(no third party software), one could go from novice WS to master WS in a little over five hours, not including training time. This doesn't include going from novice artisan to novice WS, but if you tell me that there's another class that can create better swords than humans, I may just test this theory, and see what kind of record I can set insofar as how quickly I can do just that.

Although... gotta say, I'd likely create a master WS on another server first, and see the differences for myself. Regardless of how quickly I could go from novice artisan to master WS, deleting a guy that originally took me over two months to master is NOT something I'd do without some serious preparation and prior thought.

The powerup is almost too good to be true. The schematics is over a 2 months old,and Irun it sparingly for personal use and close friends. It's about 400 count left. I almost thought that was a once a in lifetime thing (getting both maxdmg and speed) until I get a slightly better schematic yesterday (32action 16maxdmg 8spd). Ah another 1000 x 100 swings for my swords

You can check the various extra skills and skill mod bonuses on the specie section of the Character Creation thingy.

Think they added that a while after release though, don't remember it being there in the beginning.
