Try going farther away then. I just did that same thing tonight with no problems. Get some distance from the camp and they should respawn.
i was in a solo group and was getting aukuan champ missions from anywhere from 99-200+ difficulty, and i even had missions as far as 2000m apart, and still no mob respawn. something else was odd, i didnt get crap for loot, 1 belt and 1 loot kit component, after about 20 sets of missions.

First off, a big thank you to Drango and gunner4life for providing this method of getting skill tapes. All of the usual areas are heavily camped on my server it seems, except for this one.
Yesterday I went out to try and get some Aakuans to spawn with no luck. I grouped with a friend and a rancor and was able to start pulling some Large Camp (I believe they were called) missions at about difficulty level 35. Loots were a nice mix, similar to other posters... the best AA I found was a +4 Block, but I did obtain 4 locked containers. After about a half hour I quit.
When I came back sometime later, my friend had logged out so I tried the mission terminals by myself. I ended up pullingSteward missions at a difficulty level 25. The loot wasn't quite as nice, but I did find a robe, a shirt and a ring.
Late last night I went to the Dantooine Mining Outpost and convinced someone to start a solo group. Then I went all the way back to Talus and hit the mission terminals. Most of the missions were level 99 Champion missions which were easy to take out. The suggestion of shuttling back and forth between two camps worked 95% of the time. After 3 hours I filled up my inventory, including 4 more skill tapes (I think one is a +6 2h accuracy ), 6 or 7 loot kit pieces (no adhesives), more rings, shirts, junk stuff, but no locked containers at all.
So, thanks again. I'll be back to look for the speed tapes

Don't take out the base. Just kill the guys around it.
What you wanna do is get 2 missions near each other, take out the guys by one base, go to the other, take them out, go back to the first, etc. etc. Do this 3 times per base and that's usually about 30 mobs per run to mission terminal.

Question before I hop in-game and go to Talus myself
: can AA's go in Ubese Shirts/ Bandoliers and/or Mabari belts, or do they only go into actual pieces of armor (helmet, chest piece, etc.). May be a newb-ish question but I've never actually found an SEA myself worth using, so please forgive my ignorance.

yeh, but those caves are only camped by about 20 guys that have macro's set up to loot them like all the time, right when they spawn.

I've been in a solo group for the last 3 nights stright for about 3 hours a night....running these mission...have gotten alot of Loot Kit stuff...lots....Robes, belts, rings....only like 4 AA's and I think the best one was a +5 Ranged Defense..the others were nothing to right home about...still holding out for a +5 or +6 Two-handed speed though....I'm Already capped...with +11 on my Mabari Belt, and +8 on an ubese shirt..then I have a bandolier with +8 which gives me like +103 or +104 , I forget..but my bandolier is a Mercenary Bandolier so it decays...and I have a ubese Bando already with a +7 counterattack, just waiting for a +6..which would put me at +100...then I can sell that +8 Clothing Bandolier, I've even been trying to trade the +8 Bando straight over for a +5 or +6 Speed AA..no luck yet...
