how come my first exceptional weapon was a janta knife that had an action dot witha strength of 8 and duration of like 45 secs, potency was just as bad too, dmg isnt even worth mentioning.

Some people were just lucky to be at the right place at the right time. You're luck will come someday, at least that is what I continue to tell myself. Hehe. I have looted a Fire Mind DOT weapon before which was nice, but it wasn't an exceptional weapon.
