If you're going to be a Wookie brawler, better go TKA so you get more toughness. TKAs get a lot more unarmed toughness then we get 2H toughness.

wow, i must be missing something here, im 4/4/2/4 sword and 4/4/2/4 ch, i have not meet anything i can not beat, even with out a pet i can beat ancient handaks solo and agravated ponies on endor, granted its a match on the ponies because of the dizzy but i win most the time without a pet. last night i was on endor grouped with a comando, my mind bleeds and head 3 got more kills than his flamethrower. i know in pvp its harder because u have to first hit the runing target, but once u do its over.i know ur talking about tanking, but comandos dont tank and nether do bh,but i seem to be doing ok.

IF you plan to go melee as profession, do not pick wookie.. or just delete char and start over imo. No armor is way gimped, especialy head armor as mind is unhealable.

I've been playing a wookie Swordsman and I have no complaints. Yes, you will not be as effective as an armoured opponent. Your increased HAM doesn't really cover your loss of armour.

It really all comes down to personal preference. There are assorted buffs etc that a player can take, even Personal Shields. I don't use any of them. I am a CH though and having another critter along to help me out works well. Even if you are a non-CH getting a pet can help out a lot. Medic skills are also vital.

Sure, I cannot fight the uber mobs but so what. I can still take on 10000 HAM critters and win.

Well i does make sence that the hide and stuff will give us some res but i think giving more def to the skill tree wont help due to the fact that the humans and all the other species will get it too. Leaving everything the same for the most part. If there going to add melee and ranged def(which they need to for all wooks) make it a species bonus like the ham-hell i would care if they lowered it as long as they gave us toughness in return.

I remember when the game first started and people were screaming to hell about how rancors were unstoppable being a CH and all. Now people solo them regularly. It was because of the lack of armor and good weapons. I remember taking on a kima with my DLT20a rifle on bloodfin. Even though it never hit me, it still pratically drained my mind pool lol.

Anyhow, yea wookies are pretty unbalanced in the brawler line because we need to fight up close. Being a master brawler helps out a ton with Intimidate 2. Seeing as how intimidate 1 lasts for about 20 seconds and takes 10 tries to land. Wookies need some kind of tough creature hide(wookie only armor) that adds like 10-20% resists but does not give any encumbersome. But it does not give Light armor protection. Dont wanna make the non wookies jealous heh.

I stand corrected. I just started asecond character with full composite. He can take so much more damage than my Wookiee. What was I thinking? I guess I was just Wookiee Biased...

yeah, definately gimped caues no armor, specialy for head. Higher stats are nice when you're a noob, but as you and others advance then you get buffs which negate all the wookie bonuses. You talk about kiling 3 biznatch at once, but buffed up and wearing cheap mabari armor I can take the whole lair just spaming area attacks, up to 12 biznatch out at once. 60k xp in a minute or so hehe.

Heh, funny because I dont have any problems being a Heavy Swordsman Wookie. This is my skill tree so far, I went Brawler, up the two handed sword tree, and am currently into Swordsman, working on that to become a Master. Ive also worked up two skill trees in Scout, so I could get all the terrain benefits that I think are essential, I am now half way up Creature hander, of which I will become a Master given some time. I have also gone up two skill branches in Rifleman, left and right column. I have worked all this out and it will enable me to have 9 skill points left over. My attack usually goes like this, Snipe, headshot from a distance with a good weapon, knocking the enemys health down, by this time the enemy has usually seen me and is on its way, I then send out my best pet to confront whilst I pull out my double handed sword and slice and dice. I usually work in a team, and to be honest I'm usually the only one standing in the end. I mainly choose this route otherwise id get pretty bored. I get to use distance weapons like rifles, cool pets, and still be powerfull with a close ranged weapon, for which the coolest has to be a sword.

I do agree Wookies do need some kind of armour though.

Wookies get to use a bowcaster, thats all the incentive I need to play one .

Actually, your right, Bowcaster makes it worth it....hehe

I think its really PVP where we get hit the hardest without armor. I didnt realize it till I tried it with armor.
