Heh..I think I might actually head on over to swordsman soon...My guy just looks too cool with a sword in hand. I got master brawler and 300k combat exp so I can get a scythe right off the bat. I was close to mastering it before but dropped and hopped on the bandwagon. We'll now that my uber leet defense stacking days are soon to be numberedI remembered how fun it was to whack at things with a bigass powerhammer. I should have it by the end of spring break or so...

Well i was actaully thinking of swordsman before they sythe came out. I think its fun but i really hate when people from there profession tell people to leave there profession... i think thats retarded . I can understand getting mad at the people that switch professions everytime somthing good comes with them. But like a previous poster said the only way to have fun in this game right now is try diffrent things... and i have master a couple professions i have kept my favorite and trying to find my second one i like the most and i will keep it.... and im no holo grinder never have been never will be.

I agree that there is a major influx of players taking the Swordsman profession. It would be a little scary if everyone suddenly decided we were the flavor of the month and started taking it..... I dont know why they would though. Nothing special to be seen here *waves hand jedi style*.

Last night though is when i realized there really WERE alot more swordsman. Outside the Coronet Spaceport I saw a Master heavy swordsman, a Warrior, and 3 novice heavy swordsmen. So then I went inside, and lo and behold, huddled around the ticket vendor were three Battlemasters. To tell you the truth it was a little creepy.

"So I swoop upon the foe, and I will slay,
I will hew them into pieces, I will dash them into dust;
Like Baal in his strength, on their rearward, lo! I fell,
And I killed them, none escaped me, and I slew, and slew, and slew."

I made a my Swordsmen alt in September, after seeing a Wookie Swordsmen duel a guy and pound his head into pudding. Half the guys mind pool was wounded, I had to make one after I saw that.

I've been thinking of swordsmen for a long time. Currently I'm a M. Fencer/M. Doc, if the devs ever applied the 75% damage reduction to poison/disease I would go M. Swordsmen/M Fencer/M. Brawler/Medic 4140 in a hearbeat. But as It stands I will keep my doc skills, although I am dropping to 2040 and picking up tka 4004, with M. Fencer it should be fun

As well, you should always try to welcome people who join your profession's. The FOTM's will leave in due time (you just need to be patient)

Well I finished off CM for a holo right before xmas. Used my xmas holo and it said Swordsman. I was like kewl, I was getting bored with just being a Medic Personal. So I got started but was getting bored with it cause I was not getting much xp,"I was grouped with my guildmates atm." So I had to go on a 3 week deployment in January and I came back and saw that they were changing Jedi system to a Quest base. So I thought kewl cause Swordsman is such a drag, since I was just a low 0/0/1/1. So anyways I was out trying help a friend with the Reb Act 3 on Endor, got out there and he had so much help I did nada. So I figured I would do some POIs since I was here. It was at this time Igot jumped by Bolle Bols. I was buffed and had MG on me and I beat them without to much a sweat, well just a little one. I was like jaw dropping from how much xp I was getting off these crits. I was like sweet, so I started to go to Endor alot and skilling up. Then the chef fix came out and I got loaded on Brandy. Aftter that it was a breeze to skill up and as I skilled up I started to really like Swordsman and relized how much fun it is. Now that I am a Master, there is no way I am dropping it. Sheesh I dropped Master Doc just receantly, something I did not think I would ever do. Loved being able to buff myself. So for now there is no way I plan on dropping MHS for a long time. Yeah it sure seems like it is getting nerfed badly, especially just when they drop the ability to defense stack that MHS would come out as a powerhouse proffesion, but I still love it when I group with my guildmates now and I can go up to a lair and just area attack 3 and just tank the crits and hit the lair and just wipe up the place.

I think it pretty much is FOTM. When I was lvling up swords, I pretty much paid for all my training through NPCs cuz the masters simply weren't around. Now whenever I need app, I just hang around Coronet starport for little while get all the app I need.

scythe is nice, but I wish they came out with a newer crazy ass 2handed curved sword.

Ok being a n00b swordsman (not having anyhing to do with the sythe) just wondering, what does FOTM mean?

Alderonn -- retired from a sadly broken game. my return is dependant upon SOE's ability to make this in to the great game it can be, or leave it broken. i imagine it will be the second option.

When I first started paying SWG back in December, I was hellbent on becoming a pikeman. I was just about to hit novice, when I decided to try out two handed swords. Since then I never looked back. I've reached 4-4-4-4 just last week. that's without doctor buffs, and no specials (didn't want to bother with it). I only used moun gold as last resort. It went pretty slow, alot of stopping and resting. I was really impressed with swordsman though. Then I tried out the powerhammer. I love it.

It wasn't until yesterday I decided to try some doctor buffs out along with some brandy. I went to Dantooine and picked out a couple of picket plains walker missions. When I got there, I whipped out my powerhamer, and tried some of those special moves everone keep talkin about. I used area attack 2, and I think headhit 3. I couldn't believe the amount of damage I was doing. I'm very glad that I've went with Swordsman. I think I'm going to try some missions on dathmir soon.

I'm keeping this profession. I don't care about the scyth, and I don't care about being a jedi. Once I get Doctor 0-4-4-0, and some tka meditation (or some rifleman skills), I'll be a happy camper. For all you guys that's just init for the scyth, go away so that us true swordsman can have this profession to ourselves
