No, not as rare as the other cubes, but not worthless. Contactyour local weaponsmith and ask how much they will buy them for. You can probably get at least 5k apiece.
Yellow are the rarest from what I hear, but I havent found a single red cube yet. I've found over 150 white cubes, 20 green and 20 yellow, including one rare drop of yellow (15-17 damage).
