Cleaver is my favorite Swordsman title. The only problem I have with it is that Pikemen get the Heavy Cleaver title. I do agree that all of the "Expert xx" titles should be changed though.

i dont see a problem with pikeman having heavy cleaver as a title, reason being is they have the long vibro axe, and that thing is big, and suitable for cleaving large things (much like our cleaver, scythe, curved sword, and two-handed-battle axe, which are ligher weapons than the long vibro axe) but that's just me.

Well the problem is that people get the two classes titles confused. I've been both a pikeman and swordsman and when I was a pikeman I got people asking me to train them in swordsman, and now with the Cleaver title I get people asking about polearm skills.

I have never been fond of the "Cleaver" title, but neither does it particularly bother me, so it can change or not. I agree that the Expert Heavy Swordsman should change, but then so should the Master Heavy Swordsman title. It has never made sense to me that Iwas a Novice Swordsman, but a Master Heavy Swordsman just like it never made sense to me that I am was a Novice Rifleman, but a Master Sharpshooter. That is why my signature says, Master Rifleman/Master Swordsman/Master Brawler.


I would like to see Master Heavy Swordman (or is it Master Heavy Sword?) changed to Master Swordsman. Expert Heavy Swordsman can change to something as well. I just have no suggestions. Japanese Samurai or feudaltitles would sound right in one sense, but, as someone else said, they are not Star Warsy, so they do not really belong.

I am a MHS but I choose the title "Battlemaster" because it is the best one.

I have to admit I'm not a fan of Warrior or Expert Heavy Swordsman ... Both are too... "clunky" and lack something that I can't describe.


Battlemaster is okay... But still reminds me of something you'd see as an unimaginativeplayer name in an FPS


Cleaver... I like =] Not sure why, but it does have a nice ring to it, and I always liked the Pikeman's Heavy Cleaver and Pike Weaver.


As for possible replacements:


One idea could be to remove the "Expert" bit from Heavy Swordsman... Without that on the front it sounds much better to me.


Champion isn't bad =] Maybe incorporate something along the lines of "Swords" or "Blades" in with it?


Possibly some reference to "Knight" - Most well known for using heavy blades and hammers in combat?


I think I'd settle forhow they currently are,as long as"Expert" gets deleted from the front of Heavy Swordsman
