BTW dodge is NOT good for getting in melee range, cause your char stops running to dodge.

Not exactly true bro. The dodge animation can be turned off. Don't ask me how its done though. Had a bud do it for me

I've always liked it (been my template from the start and still unchanged) but its definitely not for everyone, especially uber powergamers. Better and more powerful combos do exist.

Heh. I've never been in the game for power gaming, I play whatever profession my character is. But I was just asking, Quint is also a Rifleman (I didn't have the points for it though, and swordsman seemed like more fun when I had it first) but I did swordsman. And I do not know of any bf42.com site or whatever.

Thanks for the output you guys, I played on Quint yesterday on Dathomir and I seemed to be kicking ass, but the medics in the group really kept me up.

II know Teras Kasi is nothing w/o master. The same is true for Rifleman and CM, and soon CH.

Whoever told you this lied. 0/1/1/0 TK is a very effective combo (dizzy/KD) and with a fast set of VK, you are already hitting near the 1 second cap. Combine it with master brawler, and I would actually go up the meditation tree instead of power or balance, since any of the lunge2 attacks might as well be knockdowns, especially if you follow up with a warcry2. Once they finally get to act, intimidate2 until you can stick another lunge2/warcry2

you know what's great? I have 1/4/3/2 in swordsman and dueled a 2/0/1/1 TKA yesterday just to try it, and he outpowered me in every aspect....not even using dizzy/KD....

...now, with the x/x/3/x from swordsman, I have almost all the counterattack mods I'm ever going to get, but he still hit me 90% of the time, while I would hit him with my katana (gotta love the PH for applying bleeds, but it's no good otherwise till master...) about one in four tries....I dueled him twice, once with and once without the new "center of being" bull$hit, and I lasted for about 2 hits longer with it than without it.....not only did he attack 3 times faster, but he hit 3 times more often and for about twice the damage I was doing to him, despite the fact that I was holding this great big sword and hacking him apart, right? yeah.....

if they ever fix counterattack to actually COUNTERATTACK instead of being a modified dodge with no animation, we might be some good, but until then swordsman is waaaaaaay outmatched by, umm, everything.....

Biggest problem with swordsman/pikeman dueling a tka...is speed. A tka master will 99.99% of the time beat a master swordsman or master pikeman because of speed. Heck...I've seen a master tka take down a master BH like he was melted butter. That being said, I was working swords for a while and it was fun. I've contemplated taking up fencer, but the lack of armor piercing is kind of a turn off. Right now I'm working smuggler, and almost exclusively use the republic blaster (finally, an energy gun with armor piercing). Only thing I've heard is the Pistoleer/Fencer combo maybe trouble for dueling. Personally, I think you just need to find the class that suits you and go with it. Not because you can get a flamethrower or hit really fast, but because it suits your playsstyle.
