Yeah, you need every single bit of armor you can wear, that should hopefully reduce the damage you take a bit.

Ya I have a friend who is a Rodian Swordsman, and he seems to do better against high end stuff the I do with my Zabrak Swordsman, and we have almost the same temp.

you're going to get killed very fast as a trando vs high lvl mobs. Try using your anti decay kit on a PSG each time you fight something large.

i have no problem being a trando the so-called armor slots seem to not effect me at all if i get hit in the hands or feet its once in a billion and i never notice it, i either solo or kill in groups not once have i noticed it........
im a trando for life they got shafted yes but doesnt mean they suck, i mean i probably bearly ever die in pve only time i do is when im unbuffed and blackbarred frompvpor in the dwb and my buffs go or i have 8 sbds on me with out heals

Till the CU u have the prob wearing no gloves and boots...like wookiees havent protection for foots/hands...So if something hits u there it could be a 1hit kill...it toke me some time to play my wookiee char well in combat...helps me a lot that no armor was availible for wookiees when i started with the game...i learned lots about foods and spices...

we suffer the same LS specaia from NS as others which can instant kill us
we can solo Krayt, Kimo and NS as other
we cannot use the 4 piece of armor trick
we will have less spot to put CA with the new system
we are smart!

Hm...Then tell me the secret why one of my looting partners(trando) got killed by 1 shot on the vett, by 2 hits of an ancient....and he´s wearing 80/85 Armor...Fully Buffed on all stats...my wookiee char got killed by 2 shots on the vett even fully buffed and had steak with 45% reduce...there is defently the possiblity to get one maybe two shot killed by high end mobs...i never ever had this with my human char wearing full set of compo otherwise against an elder using uber force specials...

Race Normalization
Armor in SWG is also subject to a unique problem that is due to movie canon limitations. According to movie canon, certain player races cannot wear certain pieces of armor. For example, Trandoshans cannot wear gloves or boots, and Wookiees cannot wear boots. This has led to a situation where these races can get one-shot killed in combat because they have a form of what is commonly known as an "armor hole." This happens because on a basic level of combat calculations, the body was divided into multiple hit locations. Once a target has been determined to have been hit by a weapon the game determines what portion of the body has been hit, for example, the hands, bracer and biceps were all valid and separate hit locations. The proposed system will remove the hands and feet as valid hit locations.
We will need a new type of armor clothing to prevent the additives of clothing enhancements and/or already disallowed bio components. These pieces will still remain crafted by Armorsmiths. This should encourage the use of some of our least used races because they are no longer suffering a massive combat disadvantage.

I am a purple, green eyed Trans. (TKM/M Swordsman/M Brawler/Medic 3,3,4,0). I only wear helm, chestplate, leggings, and both biceps. I never get hit real hard while wearing this. When I didn't wear biceps, I used to get hit hard all of the time. I can solo nearly everything, and regeneration is an awesome thing to have. The extra melee defense we get is also another plus. I maxxed out my mind, focus, and willpower stats. I have 700 health, and the min in the other health stats. And lastly I have 600 action, with the rest of the points dumped in the action sub-stats. Well I hope this helps you a little bit.

I did many corvette run and been killed one shot one time by a 6K strafe shot, same from Tusken Observer. i'm not sure other races can survive that, specially with no range mitigation. I'm doing as fine as my friends with ancients ( meaning spending a lot of my time on my ass with these bloody KD/Dizzy combo !!! ) but never been one shot killed
Of course i'm always fighting with full (7) suit of armor.
the main disadvantage i can see now as a jedi, is that i can't wear gloves with CA

the main adavntage is that i'm different
I made my alt a zabrak swordswoman and do not really see a difference with my trando, except better mind secundaries of course

I never had any problem when I was a swordsman tanking in the DWB or soloing the corvette.
And I don't think that trans ever get hit in the hands or feet anyway.
