Also, you are ignoring the speed cap. A MHS hits the speed cap with a 2.4 scythe, so he can use a damage powerup there. Heck, I think I hit the cap with my 2.5 sword and I am just at battlemaster. A base 43-180 at 1.0 is NOT as good as a base 248-430 at 1.0, I'm sorry, the numbers just don't add up for TKM as far as damage output.
Lastly, the swordsman profession was obviously not designed to be a PvP profession. Just look at the defenses, you said it yourself, they are horrid. We are a PvE profession, and in that regard we outdo TKM by far. Ever see a TKM do 4-5k damage a second to a Rancor? No? Swordsmen can. Heck, I'm underestimating there, because my MHS friend told me 4k is the low end for 2h hit 3 on most creatures. With only a few SEA's you hit the speed cap with a 5.3 powerhammer, or so I am told, and those are the ones that can be sliced up over 600 dmg (non-acklay, acklays are slower but have MUCH better damage). And if you can't hit the cap with your 5.3 hammer, a speed powerup should get you close.
Anyway, I'm just saying, you are using numbers here but you are leaving some out which make a HUGE difference. Also, most PvP swordsmen I know use a 2h axe, at 4.0 speed you can hit the cap without speed tapes or very few, and its mitigation is negledgeable, and the +37 accuracy evens the playing field on those uber defenses. So, play to your strengths, quit whining about your weaknesses, and if you can't kick a TKM's butt, go figure out how, because others are doing it.
Actually, TKA do get AP1, so the difference isn't that much. Also, if you're like me, you have almost 90% kinetic, not 80%, so the little bit of AP hardly makes any difference at all. And against a TKA, you will do less damage because of their superior toughness, and because mitigation has such little effect on them.

I disagree. The fact is, Sony themselves doesn't even know what the hell they designed Swordsmen for.

But TKA already have insane accuracy, plus decent accuracy mods on their VK's, AND they get a stun move which drastically decreases the victim's defense.
Let's not forget, though, their two most powerful abilities - dizzy/KD, and meditate.
Before the bleed nerf, I'd definately say a swordsman could potentially be better than a TKM, but now, TKA are definately a more powerful class.
I still do very well in PvP as a swordsman, but that is mainly due to my non-swordsman skills. After warcry 2 is nerfed, and defense stacking is nerfed, I'll be disgustingly weaker.
Am I asking for a TKA nerf? Hell no! I just hope they'll finally fix us after beating the living crap out of our profession.

im tkm and i love it ive never lost a dual but never dualed a MHS vs tkm , are kentic dam is patetic against good armour and now that you ca get KD and Dizzy food we are even worse , yes we hit fast but with good comp and food we hit you for 30- 40 dam MHS is by far better we do have a dizzy in the aoe attack and then just lunge = KD
Also most TKA's dont no how to use there class as the post above said , they use KD, dizzy & unarmed hit 3 , these tka's are easy to beat as they dont know there profession , most tka's ive meet on my server dont know there profession they just think tkm is cool and uber LOL ,
Now i'm interested what can MHS do in PvP... But i think PowerHammer will be the weapon to use in PvP
EVERY Class is designed for PvP! Not every Class is as good as some others, but the difference of Profession which are on the Same Levels like Pistoleer, Rifleman, Carbineer should be quite equal. BH and Commandos above each of them.
But Currently the TKA is the Unarmed BountyHunter with Defenses.
As TKM with kin80 composite almost every TKM loose duel with me. But i've lost more duels with MHS. I love HS and TKA suck
