Could you explain this to me, please? I haven't realized that i do less damage with my ph on lairs then with a kinetic weapon.
Take a look at your combat que. you'll notice when you swing your hammer on a lair you may hit for example 3000 dmg, but you'll see only 1500dmg float above tha lair for the actuall damage it takes. its reduced about %50. alot of swordsman dont even notice because all they use are powerhammers, But those of us who actually use different swords easily see this. that's why i carry a cleaver, it'll hit a lair at 1500 damage with 100% dmg at twice the speed of a hammer. take a look and you'll see too.
I'll equip my powerhammer, area attack the lair until everything else dies, then i switch to a cleaver and use 2handhit3, when something pops back out, i switch back to PH to quickly kill it then back to cleaver on the lair. i use cleaver on lairs instead of curved swords because it has alot higher minimum damage.
you could use a scythe if you want, i just save mine for pvp and other places where i need speed and power.
