My question is, how do you resist a bleed? Someone cuts your leg, you are bleeding.. you cant resist that Its good that bleeds/dots/flames penerate resists cause thats how those 200k ham heavy armor 90% stuff can be killed..otherwise itsjust1hour+survivalmatch up againstthem.Yes i agree first aid overpowered and yet more nerfs.. tka keeps getting stronger since they never had bleeds in first place.

I agree about the resists effecting bleeds and flamethrower dot.Itscrazy to get hit with a flamethrower while wearing high heat resist armor and having the dot do max damage. What should happen to compensate is up swordsman damage, make bleeds incap since they are going to be doing far less damage now with the right resists/armor, make the initial bleed attack actually do damage to the specific pool its bleeding. Sucks to hit something with 2 bleeds in pvp or pve and see they still have full ham bar, if you hit something hard enough to make it bleed it should be doing some damage.

I don't believe this...

It's like the devs are watching what i have fun doing and then nerf it. I used to tank FS's on dant with a graul mauler, so they nerfed grauls and CH so i couldn't do that. They gimp wookiees so i can't PvP or duel particularly high lvl mobs particularly well.

My only source of fun was to bleed 350k ham spawns for about 2 hours for the loot potential. Now this won't be possible at all.

So now I am forced to hunt Gurks for the rest of the time I play this game.

Great...

in fact, the more i think about it the less sense it makes.

sure, if i have good fire resists then i don't expect to be burning very much. I accept this nerf.

but no matter how much armour i am wearing, if you make me bleed, i am gonna bleed as much as i normally would, no matter how good my resists are.

nerf the accuracy on bleeds, thats fine, but the fundamentals make no sense

I really like this idea.

For the rest of the rebalance, I think we're stuck waiting to see what comes out of the rebalance (at which point we can cause a fuss if its not adequate). However I think that a simple idea like this is a good thing to suggest now while changes are still in the works.

I agree that there are reasons for the change to be made...

But I think they need to be really careful to not make bleeds pointless.

I dont understand what good a 200 damage 20 second tick damage does against a mob with even just 30k hams.

I think we are just worried about bleeds as a whole being ruined...

Also as a side note I am dropping my swordsman for tka, they just simply do more damage and thats what I want from my character... I really dont want to be a tka, I want to hold a sword and do huge massive damage.... but it just doesnt happen.

Haha, if bleeds ever get fixed plan on never seeing any of the harder enemies in the game die.. The nightsister elders, Krayt Dragons, Gorax.. They simply are not possible without DOT doing full damage. Bleeds are affected by armor in PvP anyway, if someone has a full suit of armor you get very low bleeds...

I think the only bleeds that need fixing are a few tweaks on flame (maybe 3/4 as strong) and poison in PvP is pretty mucha guaranteed win unless you're a doc or tka.

Well, on the flipside you could say that this is exactly the problem: if you want to kill a high level critter you HAVE to use bleeds. Arguably this change opens the door to making other strategies viable.

Personally I tank and fight a lot of high-end critters and at least initially this change will be very painful to say the least. All the same I can see the reasoning behind it.
