Thread: Any one else struggling with NS since this mornings patch?

Yeah something has changed. Died 3 times last night myself on Dath and that hasn't happened since I was a nuub and followed a friend there only to get slaughtered untold amounts of times (but at least I was having fun dieing then).
First was on a lone Protector at the stronghold with a 2hsword. Dmg hits were ranging from 400-500 per swipe. Screenied the Combat Log and saw that even with CoB going and a 80% effectiveness and 80% Bas Kin Full Comp Suit I rarely got missed and the armor bracer only reduced one out of approximately 30 hits before I was waxed.
2nd time was by two Sentinels with the same thing except they were using staffs (not sure if they were Reinforced, Metal or Wooden but c'mon). Same thing, HAM went byebye in about 1 minute and I was staring at the ceiling in the cloner. Again my armor (which was decayed only a bit after the first clone:smileymad

Now here's the real kicker... stopped on my way back to repay the Sentinels for their treachery, after getting rebuffed in both mind and body, to take out some Escaped NS slaves and get DB'd by the Freaking Slaves! Again, combat log shows that the armor (which again was in more then fine condition to take out slaves who I normally take out unarmored) did nothing to reduce any dmg. Yeah I coulda healed easily and taken em all out but by this time, as I watched my HAM shrink dramatically in the first few seconds, I just said to myself "screw it" and succumbed to the realization that had I gone back to the Sentinels, the same pattern would have repeated.
There seems to be no pattern or consistency because there were a few other guildies on Dath last night in various places taking on various Sisters and most were doing just fine and only one other guildie had issues (but he only had the issue once and the other times were fine). Sickened and not wanting to trust my life to that same suit of armor any further I just destroyed it and picked up another from a different factory run.
Haven't been back on yet today but am going to jump in and try it again just to see what happens. If the same pattern repeats,then I will know its not the armor and that something is seriously wrong. If thats the case, it may be a while before I head back to Dath

Elders with ap2 weapons have gone from 0-1 feigners to 3-4 feigners (I measure dificulty by how many times i need to feign to buck severe bleeds, and recharge my ham)
AP0 weapons used to be 3-4 stimers and are now 10-20 stims and 0-1 feigns. They are defenently harder, and they aren't droping loot as consistently. I used to be 1 crystal per 4 elders, now it is more like 1 per 6-8.

just as Darmz i noticed a change with the elders from last days patch, today how ever, they died just fine. Have started to cary around a 40% stun suit and a 89% base suit for this purpose.
Another thing i noticed, when fighting a elder with powerhammer or other hard hiting weapons (havent tried it on stun baton ones) i noticed i take much less dmg if i run around it in circles since they dont use "specials" then, only the default hits and ocationaly some force powers. How ever this adds the kill time to about 10mins or so.

my buddy a master rifleman got hit by an elder with a move called"lightsaber lunge", 5k damage through 80% armor and a 1hit kill

i went NS hunting about 3 days ago, i havent had many problems but i have developed a new fear of protectors. One hit me with a sword (the ones that look kinda like machetes) and used a move called ''Devastation'' And it hit for 3809 damage. Instant incap and death.

Myself, master rifleman master doc and my defence stacking bud went out hunting NS elders yesterday. We found a few, and they were no problem with me doing /headshot3 and my friend tanking. All the while Im useing firstaid and stim E's and state packs on him. It went fine.
Untill.....
We foud another pack, with an elder, spellweaver and some ns rancor and friends. We got the elder to follow us out, killed her then went back for the rest. Just as we were working on the spellweaver, the elder respawned.... Its first hit left me with around 200 life, and thats with 80 kin 90 base suit. In the same hit it also knocked me down then another hit and a db.

Solod 3 elders today without music/dance mind enhancements. tbh as long as i kept careful with timings i was ok. Couple of close calls but a muon and a few warcry2 saved the day.
All for 2 kills getting credit loots and alow dmg ns lance with +25 pole accuracy
