In KotOR, Cortosis is used in many weapons. It's the only known mineral which canresist lightsaber sparring damage, so I think we should be able to make use of it.
The Cortosis ismentioned in 3 SW Games:
Jedi Knight II Jedi Outcast - Shadow Troopers wear Cortosis enhanced armor, which is why they are so hard to kill.
Jedi Knight III Jedi Academy - Tavion has a sword of an old Sith Lord, Marka Ragnos, which is enchanced by Cortosis too.
Knights of the Old Republic - The Cortosis is widespread mineral that's being used in many weapons. In the era of Exar Kun, Darth Malak and personal shields, melee combat is what the battles are about, so normal soldiers have to stand a chance against a Jedi - here comes the Cortosis.

This reminds me of all the Tka's that say they should be more powerful because the EU says they are "jedi watchers"......

Of course....KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC! In the beginning some guy tells you that the vibrosword you have currently is made of CORTOSIS alloy, strong enough to match the lightsaber. And this is 4000 years before episode 1!
