Will that setup lose all of its melee defense from the Fencer, TKA and Pikeman lines after the next publish?

I highly doubt it. Mostly likely you'll see the dodge/counterattack severely nerfed, as well as any type of "ranged" defense being used by a "melee" character, and vise versa. (ie the ranged defense mods from teh rifleman tree etc)
I could be wrong, I have been before.

That is awesome loot. I think feign dead is crap tho. You can solo anything that way.

Like I said, I've never used Feign Death in my SWG career. Never will.
